This has everything to do with VLS. COVID affecting the airlines, investment communities etc. Its all about risk. Add that fact that this is a totally unproven process at any scale and the risks go skyward. Stll, VLS will just visit the Placing ATM again and top up the coffers with Sense money. Revenue is years away.

This rights issue is sure a catalyst, however imminent lockdown narrative isnt helping the prospects of a near term recovery. With no recovery in sight, I don’t see how the airline can spend more money on speculative, unproven technology. I’m sure BA is ‘commuted’, to VLS, but that doesn’t necessarily mean funding.

I’m sure that fact that IAG, VLS’s key supported us had their sp drop off a cliff. With BA on its knees, I don’t think any funding will be on its way any time soon.

NoSense. You've completely missed the point. VLS has grand plans to roll out loads of these plants across the world, over many, many years. At some point, someone builds a better mousetrap, and those grand plans are in the bin.

VLS have some good tech, but it won’t always be good enough. As soon as somebody else comes along with better tech, VLS will be stuck. They won’t be able to sell their tech, nor will they be able to finance a plant of their own that incorporates their tech By that point it’ll be too late to relook. VLS should have stuck on their path of technology development imho. This is what all the II’s bought into back in the day, and not this desperate attempt to develop half billion pound projects that aren’t even proven.

A company invests in technology development to stay current and ahead of the competition. They spend the next 4 years trying to develop a project, meanwhile a competitor gets ahead in the FT space and VLS never sells another reactor again. A technology developer should never stop developing its technology.

The reduction in operating losses could be viewed as a positive in one sense, but negative in another. Positive is obvious; they aren’t spending tons of money on internal development and focusing on projects, however the negative view is that they are no longer investing as much in their technology development. Don’t forget that VLS are still a technology company, with no track record in project development, so it’s a risky play to shift away from your core business.

Airlines are desperate for good news stories. They are also under the spotlight to reduce Carbon so anything related to low carbon is being squeezed for every penny.
However, they need to start writing cheques soon and not expect the tax payer to fund such projects .

Indeed he does and BA should be congratulated for their efforts in the biofuel game. However, VLS is just one string in their bow, as was alluded to in that grilling.

99% of 'investors' cannot comprehend the technical challenges that lie ahead for VLS and I very much suspect this guy is in that category - just because he's an analyst, doesn't make him an expert on waste to jet fuels using gasification - which is what this company is betting the Crown Jewels on .

This stock is almost entirely catagorised as Speculative at best and you are investing in an idea, concept, plan, rather than a company that has sound fundamentals. Any investor needs to go into this with eye wide open.
