Airlines will alwys drop airports they operate from, some of thouse who od drop airports do so, because of the landing costs etc.
Cardiff Passenger numbers have ben decreasing..in 2008 Cardiff airport handled 2.2 million passengers yearly, this last year it will do well to hit 1.35 million passengers.
KLM still carry the most passengers from the airport and TUI,Thomas cook are increasing flight from cardiff, and so are vueling.. Flybe routes are not the most popular, but if Cardiff does cut airport taxes, as a devolved government fo Wales maybe can, it will increase traffic.
A lot of industry and jobs , have vanished in Wales and wkith Land Rover going from Bridgend, it will impact Cardiff airport .
FLYBE can go bust as far as I am concerned if it persists in this 1p sale price and while I will feel srry for its employees, they have equal opportunity with Unions to stop this sale going anywhere, so its a matter of shareholders and employyes working together to stop it.
