Nobody on this board seems to be grasping the potential conflict in Ukraine and the resultant impact on the share price here. For many shares the potential for Russia to invade Ukraine will lead to loss of confidence and a drop in share price, however, given the products involved an invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent reaction of the west could lead to an increase in orders and a boost to the trading price.
Anyone else share this thought?

Try to remember that viruses prefer to not be deadly to the host. If they are deadly they eventually run out of hosts and die themselves.
I guess it will take a few weeks to know for sure if individuals in the right age bracket or those with co-morbidity are also experiencing milder symptoms....if so huge sigh of relief for the world.

He did also state that the patients he examined were both young and had no underlying health conditions. It remains to be seen if the same is true in vulnerable groups
If we are fortunate and the virus mutation is less severe I for one will be extremely glad.

a) My average on Astra is low 8000s and
b) I had to throw a chunk of money at AVON this morning because it dropped > 40 % on worse news and I really needed to reduce the average on it....
Never rains but it pours....

A little surprised by the drop this morning given the positivity of the results (>30 % y/y increase in revenue). Even allowing for the fact that a sizeable chunk of the uplift is non-profit covid related revenues are improved...
What am I missing here that justifies a drop?

...and yet it seems to be a 'strong buy' ....

My excuse for not being around when the price was 25p was I only started investing last October....I only started investing because house prices took an unexpected jump during Covid and I switched a plan to invest in a buy to let to instead try the stock market....
I still have a ton to learn but am always on the lookout for a share that is good value.

From the perspective of the company the SFO investigation is done and dusted. Any ongoing or further investigations is aimed at individuals or entities outside of the company....

Completely agree with all the positive sentiment towards this share.
I have only been dabbling on the stock market for a year and part of my strategy has been to buy shares when they take a large drop. I bought into this share in April when it dropped to 76 p......wish now of course that I had invested more. Cant say the same for some of my other punts e.g. AVON...
Can see this share doing very well in the next few years.

Why would anyone participate in an offer price of 1.15 if they could buy for less on the open market....
I think that it is unlikely that the share price will drop below 1.15 between now and November 11th at 11 am....but never say never, eh
