No - prior to the ruling all shareholders owned 100 % of shares after the ruling all shareholders still own 100 % - the question is who the shareholders are - the shares have not disappeared.....

Lets all be honest here folks, we are in the middle of a financial sh*tstorm here. You have a choice sell up and take the hit or hang on and hope for better times to come, it really is that simple.

I take a different view Cleverthoughts.
These shares already exist and are owned by someone or some entity. They are not new shares and no new shares are being created. The only issue is who owns these shares.
Now of course if they are owned by one person they would be able to exert quite a bit of influence in the company and perhaps take it in a direction that the rest of us do not wish to travel and that could influence the share price negatively.
But in the grand scheme of things who owns any shares that I dont own is nothing I can control or care about in any of my holdings so why should I care in this case....
I will as always take drops to share price as an opportunity to buy more (assuming I have free cash available)

Gary, best advice I can give is use the filter option.....life becomes much easier when you cut out people that have no intention of having an informed discussion and only set out to upset as many people as they can.
And of course if everyone filters them they get no response and simply vanish....

Buy the dips was the advice I read over and over.....

From todays RNS it seems that Alantra EQMC Asset Management SGIIC, S.A. have pretty much doubled their holding in Avon.
Is this a vote of confidence in the company or do they see a takeover coming?

I would have expected todays RNS to pull the share price down to near the 134 level since a large number of shares were issued at that value.....

Clearly you have a lot to say since you have posted >400 times in less than three months membership...
so please enlighten us with some facts to back up your broadbrush statement?

I have said it before and I will say it again....use the filter and mute Mikey....I never ever regret seeing that green line ....I dont need to read his posts, since I know it is always the same old bull**it..

Most of us have had buyers regret....eventually you will be in positive territory so try not to worry.
Patience is key....

And I think that the dividend will be quite reliable here. Stable brands and the household business does not have the vast costs linked to drug development so should be pretty profitable....
And who knows when a bigger fish may buy a position and make an offer...

Like a lot of people here I received shares at the split.
I will probably only top up if, or once, the price drops to 220 or lower.
Everyone else will have their own buy or sell limits and it is all based on your own calculations, gut instinct or general guesswork. Like everyone else my investments are at the mercy of the markets and all any of us can hope to do is buy lower than we sell at least some of the time...
