I do think something significant could be happening with Sonora behind the scenes.

I think you have to consider location as a factor in the analysis, a tonne of lithium produced in Europe is worth more to an OEM than one produced in China when you consider supply chain and geopolitical issues. EU also are targeting 80% self-sufficiency and are likely to offer health incentives to local producers. That is why EMH is attractive as the largest resource in Europe and being underground and a former mine, permitting is much less of an issue, look at SAV in Portugal for example with the problems caused by NIMBYs.
