It seems you are trying a hard sell, when it doesn't need it - quality stocks never need need that - I think it's best to stop repeating same posts - otherwise people will see you as trying very hard to ramp it - comparing it's market cap to Avct etc - they are a different beast with different assets and business

Paul is a serial investor and has invested in numerous early-stage life-science companies including Ablynx, which recently sold to Sanofi for $4.8bn.

Leansniper, least you forget that Avct isn't just about Covid 19 test it has - has other sections of the business looking good plus has got about £8m in cash reserves - so it's value isn't on the just hype of the covid 19

The results show that while the population does still bind to the spike protein from the related coronavirus ‘MERS’; it binds significantly better to the SARS-CoV-2 protein.

This is fantastic news as we are now confident that we have multiple specific binders able to bind to SARS-CoV-2 but not other coronaviruses. This is something that many other tests have failed to do – potentially leading to incorrect diagnosis.

Next week we plan to refine the population even further, by removing aptamers which bind to other coronaviruses. We are aiming to have specific binders developed and ready for testing in multiple formats over the next few weeks.

Paraytec are in discussions with Aptamer Group and the University of Sheffield to define a project to develop a COVID-19 test. If successful, this test would enable potentially infectious individuals to be identified quickly. Such a test could be used in airports, transport hubs, healthcare environments, large workplaces and similar settings, where rapid screening of large numbers of people for presence of the virus is required.

Using Paraytec's imaging capability in partnership with aptamers from Aptamer Group which bind to the spike protein on the virus, the objective is to develop a portable test, which can generate a result in a matter of minutes from a swab provided at the test location and require no specialist skills to be operated

A team of UK biotech experts say they are close to delivering a “sophisticated and affordable testing technology” that will complement COVID-19 tests already in use.

The technology utilises mass spectrometry to discover proteins unique to COVID-19, and is targeting delivery of test results within 30 minutes that can detect the presence or absence of the virus, measure the viral load, and detect new strains as they emerge.

The joint MAP Sciences and Cantab Health tech could deliver up to 1000 test results per machine over a 24 hour period, the firms note.

According to the developers, the technology could make “a huge contribution” to new plans to boost testing capacity in the UK.
