The fact is, when confronted with an existential war on your territory, you mobilise all forces available.

I had suggested some time ago that the Czechia would make potentially be a better place for the first SMR factory and would not be surprised if that is where Tufan is going.

Zentral european location, access to multiple waterways for ease of transport, history of engineering excellence, cheaper wages, EU member and commited stakeholder - what's not to like.

Yesterday's meeting between the two presidents was an utterly disgusting event - please let me explain my sentiment.

1) Trump had the home advantage

2) Zelenskyy clearly was going to be in a somewhat dependant situation

3) Trump decided to diss Zelenskyy regarding his attire, in public, before he even entered the building

4) "Team Trump" outnumbered Zelenskyy 2:1

5) J D Ponce used every opportunity to insult

6) Trump, well, Trump is Trump, an oppiniated, distastefull, self centered, rude, liar with zero attention span/grasp of detail/ history

To my mind, there was a deliberate strategy to goat Zelenskyy from the beginning as Trump is pursuing a goal that is far removed from stopping " the killing of all these people".

Some of you guys might agree - or disagree with my take.

For myself, as a German, I have ordered a Ukrainian flag to hoist in front of my house and decided on an immediate boycott of American goods. No more DeWalt tools (shame as they are really good), no more Bourbon and definitely no Tesla (Musk can fcuk himself).

To me, Zelenskyy is a patriot, with balls.

Wish we had some of them here.

I would generally agree with your assesment.

Personally, not being risk adverse and as a retired person living on investment income, I like to keep about 10% of my investment pot in a cash ISA -just in case the market takes an unexpected turn, providing me with liquidity and time to sit it out

Watched a SKY interview with Rachel Reeves recently and whilst she mentioned/did not dispute a possibility of reducing the ISA allwance, at the same time she mentioned a desire for wider share ownership. My first reaction was " what the f* is she talking about", however having replayed the interview a couple of times came to the conclusion that she might want to restrict cash ISA's, but not share ISA's in order to force people to invest rather than sitting on cash to promote her "growth strategy".

I could be wrong - or she's an idiot.

Don't count on them rolling over easily. They also know that they have numourous resources the Yanks need.

I am thinking that rr will continue as a good investment for a good while longer and intend to stay on board for the foreseeable future.

I was just curious why Tufan had chosen this particular moment in time, which fordm kindly explained - that's it.

I guess we all try to second-guess a CEO's mindset/future thinking in our investments and Tufan has not disappointed thus far as we all know.

I have been reflecting on today's events.

And before I get shot down I would like to make the following statements:

1. None, of what anyone on here says will change the share price in a meaningful way

2. RR has been great for me affording me to feel save enough to retire at 63

3. I own approx: 45000 rr shares which constitute approx. 66%of my total shareholding - realistically way too much - I get that

Now, here is my issue:

1. I do not know Tufan's personal circumstances, but would assume that he is not short of a quid or two

2. Why, given the senstivities with regards to SP - and directors selling, would he elect to fund his tax bill by selling shares, especially since it will not be due for sometime?

On this point, I might need some education and ANY feedback would be welcome

4. Year end results are due shortly - closed period?? Is that telling us something?

I am probably overthinking this, but despite the inevitable criticism of my post, I think we all have a shared interest in our investment.
