Howmet Aerospace are domiziled in Pennsylvania - with worldwide subsidiaries in China, Canada, Germany, France, UK, among many others.

I am assuming that many of their components are therefor manufactured outside the US and will attract tariffs if imported into the US - hence the foce mayoure situation.

The law of unintened consequences springs to mind...........Trump should have perhaps thought through his masterplan in some more detail?

I would never want to see a genuinely disabled person not being appropriately supported by the government, ever.

However, the workshy shirkers that have hijacked disability benefit as an easier means of getting unemployment benefit need to be weeded out. I am astounded that previous governments have allowed this situation to develop and could not, and still can not, get to grips with this issue. Rachel Reeves proposals do not even scratch the surface. I know from personal experience dozens of people that have made benefit a lifestyle choice, amply supported by the system - whilst you and I go to work and earn a living thereby contributing to society

I guess, what I was trying to get across, ignoring any distractions, is the following:

As a citizen of a country you should be expected to defend your homeland in the event of being attacked.

Therefore, in an existential war, if your government calls you to arms, you report as and when required.

As a consequence no "snatch squad" should be required in the first place, if indeed that's what is happening.

You do not shirk responsibility by absconding.

Yes, no-one wants to be killed, but exceptional circumstances require exceptional responses.

Now, I guess this is a generational issue and I am old school, but I object to today's self-entiteled society that want every privilege but fail to put in.
