Has it occured to you that every share that is sold has to be bought by someone and visa versa? As we know the figures on here are totally unreliable - so I would not make too much of it.

With the benefit of hindsight we would all have sold at the 40p plus and bought back a lot lower - that's with the benefit of hindsight though.
To be honest I never did think that it would take AMC as long as it has to get to this point - and still not quite there!! So yes. I will apply a strategy of top slicing and a staged sale of my shares when certain price points are reached and probably keep the last batch to see how far it can really go - if thats possible.

Might smack too much of desperation...…...Elon is clearly a very clever individual who knows how to surround him with a lot of other clever people...…..I think they know exactly what the challenge to their business is and will take the appropriate action - if that involves AMC or not does not really matter as it would appear that given Elon's stated preferences, there are not that many places to go to - we simply need to wait and sit it out - IMO.
If Elon decides to go elsewhere, other EV manufacturers will have the same challenge.

It was not intentionally cynical - even if it might have come across that way.
The point I was trying to make without a lengthy analysis is that I can not see this idea stacking up.
However, I am not the expert and we will see what the team will come up with - they might just surprise us, which would be very welcome for all of us.

If the BoD had suggested this idea some months ago, before they invested in a decent stake, I would have definitely voted against the proposal - with their investment in place, I can give them the benefit of the doubt as an investor.

And so we go and buy a piddly "producing" miner for 10million, lets say, whose current owners are so keen to sell to us that they are grateful for the largesse and this asset will produce such a fantastic income stream that it will finance/help to finance the next stage of our development........... To be honest the whole idea does not stack up in my mind, then again what do I know? Am I missing something??

Like the positive thinking on you part - I seem to recall you a long way going back, just like myself.
I am an optimist, 1/2 glass full type of guy.........even though, I am in dispair.............on the upside, the directors now have more skin in the game, which is what I was looking for - acually qite re-assuring to me - if nothing else!

All the more reason to review the payroll and reduce headcount unless someone can make a convincing case that all currently employed are making productive/essential, worthwile contributions. If RY has decided that AMC time has not come as yet and is happy to stall then I can live with his judgement call, however, whilst we are waiting running costs need to be kept to a minimum in my opinion.

Call me a cynic.......day after what can only be a dire election event, whichever way it goes......perfect timing for a AMC AGM. Well done BoD's - nice time time to bury the dismal performance of the year rounded up by a non-event AGM. I really think we are employing to many non-performing entities - prove me wrong! etank

Whilst I would agree with most concerns beeing discussed here today and feel equaly annoeyed with the BOD - there is one upside as it would seem - funding to ( hopefully) see us through 2020.
