There is a difference between speaking English - not that difficult in the wider context of languages, and understanding English....much more so.

To understand, or at least to begin to understand the nuances, you need to live in Britain for quite a long time as far as we non-native speakers are concerned.

Then there are also cultural differences to consider....some nationalities are somewhat more blunt than others - applies to me being German for start.

However, I would expect the non-British CEO of a company to seek some guidance before making major announcements that couldce misconstrued.
Just a thought.

However long, any invaded nation will put up years of resistance........there will be a stalemate and negotiation at some point.

I agree with your sentiment, the previous deal was a definite no, which I voted for without regrets, this one is different in so far be that we get some money upfront and then can decide to sell our shares to get rid of
these arse*holes that are parading as BoD at our expense.

What irritated me about the BoD is their sheer front too come back with this proposal knowing the strength of feeling about themselves full well.

Yes, I get that, however based on past record I do not have confidence in the current BoD to deliver a tangible outcome in my liftime - and I am planning on being around for quite a while longer!

1.8p represents a 50% loss for me, which I would be prepared to accept - however RY and his cronies are still hanging around following this deal. They need to go! Sell the lot and payout the proceeds to the shareholders now is what I am looking for.
I do not think it desirable for the current BiD to invest our money in a different venture just to maintain their employment.
