Then again, there will be a tomorrow.........or month/ year after that.
I have considerable patience and backing a potential winner is not always that obvious from start.

If, I could take a guess, I would disagree.
There seems to be a bit of a pattern of falls, leading us to expect more, just to do the opposite

I do not expect short term miracles in the sp but a steady, continuous climb into the future.
I guess it would help if IAG, and the rest of the sector, upped their game though. ??

Seems to me that, after some conversation, we are not that far away in opinion.
I have never suggested that the IAG sp is the wholly grail, far from it. However, still a useful indicator to me, amongst others.
That's all I am saying.

IAG and TUI are part of the travel sector as you correctly point out and I happened to use them as an example.
That does not change the correlation.

I would agree IAG and TUI are totally different businesses - however their sentiment affects RR. - different or not. Just as a little exercise, watch IAG when it turns to the upside - RR will follow to quite a degree, with a time lag. The evidence will be there for all to see. I rest my case.

That would probably be true......they are extremely stressed every year come late Jan/Feb/March.
I have worked in the private sector closely with the NHS and observed the waste that occurs, however a more sustainable finance model with appropriate checks and balances could help in my opinion.
Despite that I have nothing but praise for the service.

I like your optimism.
Would be rather nice if you are proven correct....either way there is the long game I am counting on.
With regards to our totally useless Boris and his B Team, I do not think that " plan b" will make that much of a difference LONGER TERM.

As the German Health Minister has put it recently " by Spring everyone will be immunised, recovered or dead".
In any event the issue will be resolved - barring a surprise variant.
I just feel sorry about the impact on the NHS and all it's implications for the staff and follow on care for people other than covid related.

We could argue about statistics all day long......to no avail.

If I m vaccinated and do not get covid as a result then I can not pass it on.
If I am vaccinated and still get covid I can obviously pass it on - however changes are that I am 85% immune. Even if that percentage was considerably lower let's say for argument sake I would still be safer to have around than an unvaccinated person who has a 100% chance of getting it.

Now, behaviour might become a point of argument. From what I have seen there are quite a few people who are quite reckless in this respect and without reliable data I would not want to assume the vaccinated or unvaccinated are more culpable.
However, that takes us back to someone being vaccinated to be an obvious lesser risk - unless you move into the thinking of the anti-vaxers.....and then you have lost the argument in my opinion.
