What makes you reckon that Smithy, sounds like a bunch of hopeful thinking rather than anything concrete. The only thing that makes me think this may be going up is the price of oil hanging in there around 50.

Fishy, I look at it this way, as well as in the way comments above have indicated:
1. Airlines have not been in this position ever.
2. IAG shares were around £4/share prior to the pandemic
3. In tumultuous markets big dogs eat small dogs: Small market capped companies begin to fail and large market capped companies prosper from that . IAG have agreed purchase of Air Europa here recently. I'm partial to expanding , forward thinking companies.
4. Don't be short sighted. If you've bought in at £1.74, it may suggest a recent purchase. Unless you're a day trader, think months, if not years, about the future of this investment. The last time IAG was this low was in 2016. It will recover but it will take some time.
Good luck with whatever you do.
No, it's called Brexit. They were expecting a NO Deal outcome by today but again it's been postponed.
Resistance at 1400 level. Will we break 1400 today?
Alch, there has been a lot of uncertainty as of late so this stalls markets. US presidency, OPEC agreements to limit output of barrels, Brexit, Coronavirus- That's way more uncertainty than usual for sure! The uncertainty lingers on and markets change with any news.
ZSTAR, I think it's more important to Britain. For the EU, it's more important to keep it's current constituents than dealing with Britain. If they are seen to be weak, other countries may follow suit. Imagine Italeave in the headlines next. No there will be no deal.
Na, we need a French name like the chef Pierre-White in the mix. The French only like the French
zstar, I don't think that there will be a deal. The EU want to make an example of the UK. "Leave the EU and this is what happens". If the EU makes it easy to leave, others may follow suit. If there is a deal then it will be a bad deal for the UK. The EU holds all of the cards. The UK is no longer a world power. We've turned into a puppet state, very dependant on nations with power. This share price will drop again when talks are over and realisation of broken Britain hits the headlines. I have money ready for the fire sale when it happens. This share will recover after the sell off.. This is my prediction, not sure fact, so this is how I'm playing it.
