The flame of fire... torching CINE. I got burned here, for pre-empting this when it was 20p+. Just sayin'
And you sound like an enlightening soul yourself Chae. Never did I say I'd take them to my parents as cheap labour. I was referring to the comment, "Cinema is really easy child care". I'd rather be doing things with them than sitting, not talking to each other in a cinema. You're just spouting Chae*******s-
True Hexam, and they will be paying more for all of these- Don't know about the film distributor part-
As a psychologist, you should understand the value of playing games and doing activities that pay cause to developing a positive relationship with your child/children. If I wanted cheap child care, I would take them to their grandparents who would also do activities with them. Why, just because I am not on here saying how wonderful this share is, am I referred to as a deramper? Just for you, nighty, I think this stock will be £1 plus this time next year, so please put all of your savings into it.
Damayhill, I'd rather play football with them or take them fishing
Really Hexam? Tell me your electric/gas bill is cheaper. Nonsense..
That is true Damayhill- a useful insight that contradicts my personal opinion-
Erebus55, I guess it's hilarious unless you're gambling your life savings on this recovering...and it is a huge gamble. Hopefully it works out for people. It's not for the faint hearted for sure!
Another variable is the fact that running costs for cinemas is over 80% higher than pre-covid which will further eat into profits. People don't like it when you share your opinions on here. They call it de-ramping if you don't spew rainbows and butterflies about a stock that's obviously in the gutter.
I asked him the same about why he didn't show a bit later. He said that he'd done that before and the movie had started. The popcorn thing- He said it was cold when he got it, so I guess it wouldn't have warmed up inside the cinema- He said he did eventually move seats but this is besides the point. Many people find the cinema extortionately priced- whether you like it or not, streaming services are gobbling up profit exhausting the cinema business, hence this share has gone to over a pound to a penny stock .
My best mate went to the cinema yesterday. He said that he was put off by this experience- He said that, as most know, the food was extortionate- One of the great jokes in the industry is that popcorn is second only to cocaine or heroin in terms of profit. On top of this, his popcorn was cold. They sat down, only for the ads and trailers to run for half an hour before the film even started. He said that his cold popcorn was almost gone before the trailers ended and the movie started. He found himself sitting next to a family of four, smacking their food, rustling through their bags. The kids were picking and poking at each other and got up to go to the restroom about four times during the film. He said that he will stick to streaming services in the comfort of his own home for now on. I've figured this out a long time ago and haven't been to the cinema since way before Covid times. This share sits at about what it's worth. Unless Cine comes up with a ground-breaking restructure, I'm afraid that there are many people here that will lose cash. Be careful here folks. Think about the variables that exist when buying any stock!
I never "feel good" when I go to the cinema. £5 plus drinks, cold popcorn for £6 plus £40 for a family etc... Kids kicking the back of my seat, sitting next to someone I don't know....etc. We have to admit, streaming is the way forward. This is how I prefer to watch a movie anyway, and many people think the same. Face it, cinema is out, hence the reason Cine is going out.
The liability is more than Cineworld at market value. Cine is done if they lose the appeal. It would be more wise to invest in Cineplex now.
My advice to myself was to jump at 49 p (one year low) and to continue to top up if SP continues to dip, but I can't advise you on what to do with your own cash. Good luck with whatever you do. ATB
