AFC should have RNSd this in my view. That they are getting these early units out as planned is price sensitive, even if only because suspicion that they have not would depress the price.

Clearly a very direct competitor to AFC. This is where we have to rely on fuel flex and the efficiencies of our alkaline technology. It will all come down to capital and operational costs. This is why it is not just enough for us to know that Power Tower works at Acciona. Which would Acciona prefer if they had one of these and a Power Tower working side-by-side?

I dont think the £300k salary is a malicious guess. The CFO in 2021 had a package that totalled £291k. It's safe to assume that rose in 2022 and that the new guy will be on at least the same. So £300k seems a very fair guess to me and anything but malicious.

I wish AFC was involved in some of these deals. I really see little future for AFC in UK car charging.

Pommygit...fund managers certainly do. Such is their influence that they not only expect to be told, but often to dictate to companies. Many a director has been ousted following fund pressure. Not a problem for AFC of course as they have attracted few institutions to the shareholder ranks.

....have just had a look on the AFC website and it still clearly states that the Power Tower is available to order today. So it must work or they could not say that. How competitive it is is quite another issue of course.

I also see that the Blog's latest entry is a review of Summer 2021 written over a year ago. That doesn't read well for a tech company and makes the site look uncared for. Frustrating.

I think this is everyone's concern. That AFC do not actually have a product to sell. However that would mean that they have grossly misled investors as the product has been launched to the market. But why so little news is utterly incomprehensible.
If there are no firm orders by December I will wager that Bond's head will roll before the year is out. And rightly so,

I would be very concerned if we have heard nothing by New Year Git. By then not only should product testing in the field be completed, but Fuel flex should also be well advanced with methanol, and possibly Ammonia, online. We should also have news re commercial traction, certainly in construction, but signs of early specific projects re data centres and marine - we are in danger of being left behind in both areas.

I would go as far as to say that if we have none of this by New Year the company is defunct.

Garonne. So low volumes not also mean that no one is selling AFC? We are all fully loaded awaiting developments. I don't think you bother to do any AFC research as your posts add nothing. So here's my take for you:

AFC currently has units under test; as least we presume this as recent Information from the company has said this would be the case. The Power Tower will not hence sell in large volumes this year. It's primary role in the long term will be as a building block for bigger units. In late 2022 and into 2023 these will start to come along, as will fuel flex, firstly methanol then ammonia. As that point there will be much interest in the offering and you will see very significant news flow. THE sp will start to react - I am not at all concerned about today's sp as I am taking a 2 then a 5 year view. In two years I expect the sp to be comfortably over £1.

Two recent events suggest to me there that the power tower is not a total failure. Firstly Gary Bullard has put £20k of his own cash in and even the densest Chairman would not do that if he is going to lose it (I accept the conspiracy theorists on here might disagree) Secondly, why launch an employee saving scheme if no one would pay into it because the product is crap.

It bewilders me Garonne that you continue to talk down your investment and make the same points over and over again.

I agree Jim....the vast majority of what DW writes is of no benefit and detracts from the board. However although the Power Tower may have a future AFC is behaving as it has before and promising much and then either missing targets or not confirming they have been met. The product may well be AFC's salvation and it deserves to be supported. Presuming the first operational deployment has happened surely that would have been worthy of confirmation. I cant think of any downside to such a simple act, and had it happened we would not need to be having this conversation.

Much as I hate the boring and repetitive posts of the incessant doomsters like DW and Garonne, DW's post of 0906 today has a lot of factual content and does highlight how much has been promised and how little delivered thus far. There are few positives with which to counter the arguments of these doomsters. I hope that will change and they will have to revise their views. That needs to happen soon.
