ANI. Goodness me, yes. It's almost a vague figment of our imagination at this point, lol, but it is quite real. It must mean something Sooz, perhaps everything. Hence perhaps the extra fuss and unfortunately, added time.

Great post Sooz. I would go further, based only on things known of course. I believe it has been established that they can't say no, because nobody has been able to prove where our application is defective, including in the area of direct detrimental impact. So, what could be the possible reason behind a no, that couldn't be immediately challenged by us, in view of the apparent fact that we've satisfied all criteria set for the licence? Plus we have the additional submissions , that we didn't officially need to provide at this stage.

As lb has mentioned until he's blue in the face, the only problem is getting them to say yes. But they will only have to if Kurt adopts a different spproach. Again, based only on the things that we shareholders know.

Hence my frustrations.

Good post that Redsaint. Sums it up. The other problem, I have felt, is that Kurt's advisors are Swedish. They are used to and perhaps accept the mind-numbing inertia. Göran, for example, has he been of any use in bringing us this decision any sooner? Nope. But he knows people who know people, and that is probably where his value lies. His contribution to what happens after the licence decision. But we don't really know what he's done overly, except write a letter to Santa.

Aug will like this, but much going on in the background is the only plausible excuse at this point for the lack of timeframe for this decision. Many parties flittin' about. Everyone has had their say though, early last year and for the last time, so this must be about the next stage, post-licence grant. All being well.

Of course, I'd like to believe that things are occurring, but, as we are lacking in specifics via news, I can unfortunately only believe it in my imagination, and for a brief period of time. Lol.

Ok. Yes, I suppose I have my thoughts on how things are going and what could perhaps be done better for us, and you have yours. I will back Kurt to the hilt, undoubtedly, until, and I trust this will never happen, I feel he is letting those who should uphold their side of the bargain completely off the hook. I mean completely. Waiting indefinitely is not a strategy, so let's see if something emerges now that summer has arrived. Oops.

To be honest with you Aug, I find the whole situation we are in rather disgusting, precisely because we are still waiting, into our seventh year, with no timeframe for conclusion of this licence matter, and, it seems, none requested, or a reason obtained as to why one won't be given. Wow!

Meanwhile, as we wait for the clocks to stop on this saga, while the Swedes continue to treat us all with contempt, nay like fodder, I'll continue to vent and ponder the missing details of this picture, including what can be improved upon.

The wait could be down to any reason, but let's trust that it is because of some reason eh Aug? Not just that the Swedes can't be arsed. As for legal obligation, no, not always, but obligation, yes. Kurt is obliged to keep us informed (and legally via AIM rules if anything price sensitive), because we are into our seventh year of waiting for something that should have taken a year max, with part of his role being to manage our expectations, keeping us interested and informed. Ensuring, where he can, that shareholders and therefore the Company, both remain on the up. It makes his own position safer.

There'll be no folding here! Lol.

Devoid of facts, yet thirsting for knowledge. I agree with your last paragraph, but we could and should perhaps pressure him for further details, if not the decision. That would be helpful to some of us, and it shouldn't even be necessary to make such a request it. Should it? Meanwhile, we haven't a blinkin' Scooby.

Hi Pocko. Yep, I think you and I have been left a little peeved by the lack of apparent necessity to venture into Kosovo and the not insignificant amount invested so far. However, it does indicate, I believe, that Kal will be up for sale. Hence the diversification. Have to see, but I only ever wanted Kal and only Kal. As did many of us I would say. We have to take it on the chin and trust also that Kurt is indeed keeping his powder dry. He knows things yet can't divulge, at this time.

Hence this is a living nightmare for many of us. Lol.

Hi Glacial. Yes, Kal be a very large pink whale. I've seen the magnetic map and a couple of other maps. Going back a while now, but aye, KS is massive. LKAB want it, they'll have to pay handsomely for it. All above board, post-concession award. The two can't and shouldn't be hand in hand. Other parties may be interested.

Hi lb. I can imagine your post being pithy, yes. I wouldn't expect anything else. Lol. We should, and I feel could be given more information, that's what it comes down to. Why haven't we? I'm not sure. Equally as concerning.

Kurt though is not sitting on his hands. He is doing plenty of stuff, lol, just not at this time being ruthless, pressing the Swedes into a corner. The problem being, and something Aug I think mentioned, is that we don't have all the facts, so we cannot say whether Kurt is, at this juncture, doing the correct thing by continuing to wait for the decision without taking any action. We must trust that he has been advised appropriately. We ourselves unfortunately don't know anything at all about what the Swedish Government is actually doing right now, if anything. Nor have we ever! Not the details anyway.

Hence my problem with the lack of knowledge about the situation, through no fault of our own.

But I'll wait lb. My birthday is October 3rd. I expect something to materialise from the Government by then. If Kurt hasn't received a decision by that time, and no reason has been offered to him as to why, I'll be lobbying him for a different course of action. I suggest we all do that, to protect our investment. I also believe it will have highlighted a weakness in Kurt, if we have to consider doing so, because he hasn't taken the initiative to change our approach from that of a nodding dog.

Yes, I did email Kurt a few months ago, a lengthy email, and it resulted in a phone conversation with him on an agreed day. He's always approachable, but prefers to phone you back rather than email a reply, because I believe he's wary of shareholders potentially recirculating his emails and so on, without permission. I wouldn't do that of course, but fair play.

Further to Juicy's feedback, which was most welcome, I believe the "damned if they do, damned if they don't" is quite flimsy. I've been looking at this and feel that the problem lies with the lack of further specifics present within the information supplied in the RNS news.

An example being, we had no detailed information as to why a decision may come before the summer. What exactly was indicated to Kurt and by whom, to support him saying that it would be reasonable before summer.

Now we know he isn't considering legal action at this time. We know two reasons why, the expense and time it would take, good, but we don't know if there is a strategy, only that there are options to be considered. At which point will an alternative to waiting be considered is what we don't know. I find that potentially endless situation difficult.

Anyway, moving on. At no point have we been informed as to why there remains a delay with the decision on the licence. What is the hold-up due to and who are we waiting on exactly? We only know that there still isn't a date for delivery of a decision, but that BEM will be contacted after trading hours.

I know it is about retaining a certain level of tact and diplomacy from our side, but surely Kurt could consider providing more precise reasons via future RNS and it seems he could have done at the AGM as well, as to the factors that represent the delay. If the Swedes have told him they are prioritising our case, yet conversely are refusing to give even a likely decision date, how can he be sure that they are really prioritising it? Why can't he press them for a likely date, or, given the tagged priority, a reason or reasons as to why they don't or won't supply a timeframe.

Reasons to be fair and reasonable to us.

My thoughts only, but the lack of precise, finer details in the RNS news is what continues to leave me frustrated as a shareholder.

Why are we waiting now? What length of time does giving priority mean to the Government ? Who is responsible for dealing with our case? What have been the specific reasons for the continued delay, considering the new Government has been in situ for some six months?

I trust you all will understand where I'm coming from, so "damned if you do" could be removed if more information was given to us. The important, missing details.

Hi Aug. Yes, we can't help but notice the additions. Lol. I feel some necessary, others not. Kurt obviously felt he needed to follow all of these extra routes though in order to make our case, including the application, absolutely bulletproof. In spite of much headbanging for shareholders, I believe he's achieved precisely that. So we are where we are. The licence should be awarded, and it may be the case at this stage that other negotiations are taking place, by way of the plan to develop this project, but perhaps not Aug, until the licence is officially given the green light. Nothing premature happening I must trust, behind closed doors.

The backing of the MI is a massive tick, Norra Karr, satis in keeping with the ruling, no direct impact on Laponia, investing in the local community, yes. Green, sustainable project. Aye aye Captain.

We only have the very small problem of the Swedish Government's inertia to overcome. Words have so far not been reflected by any action. Will old jelly bones Baylan grow a backbone in time for Christmas?
