So here’s my plan for you to poke holes in while we wait (tik tok):

1. Wait for partner announcement (one)

2. Assume that Disko is a goer and K just waiting for us to have cash for 1 year +. If that Disko announcement comes on the heels of partner announcement (say 2 weeks) then all is good and I hold most. Maybe sell a quarter if it jumps up to 2-3+

3 if no Disko announce soon after partnership. Sell half. Wait another month or so (end Jan?) and sell another quarter on the e basis that Disko looking iffy.

4 the rest is a punt

Good point Iv. It does cut both ways. However their homework only really gets marked if we drill. They can always say that the models show it was too tricky and no one can disprove the model until we drill. I just think it’s down to prioritisation and sincerely hope that this is bubbling near the top of their list!

Yep. For a big miner it’s a $20m drilling punt, one of many, but for K it’s reputational and affects the next fundraise or at least the 2024 one!!

1 should read after strategics

Possibly a few things slowing a positive Disko announcement:

1. K want to ensure the JAY are a going concern. So after strategies.

2. K have fingers in many pies and have a limited (if large) cash pool. They will be prioritising. The order of priorities will change with each modelling output (assume there are many)

3. Their existence and ability to raise future $ depends on their perceived expertise. Not as a miner but as a tech company. They need to select projects where failure is almost non existent at this relatively early stage in their story. So, while their modelling will (one assumes) dramatically de risk Disko drilling, it remains a risk. Other targets may be less so even if rewards are smaller.

Ralla, I’m in the same boat as you as LTH but have averaged down a bit. Really hoping that the investors are forthcoming and we get up to c 3p. That’s when my dilemma arises really. Do I cash in then and cut my losses or do I wait for Disko and hope a bit more? Probably will do 50/50. Now do you understand the Disko fixation? I am moderately confident in investors soon and a wee price rise.. before Xmas but only Disko will get me back above water..

Indeed Hemo. Positive and negative as we cogitate on our respective investment choices. We should consider upside and downside and embrace even outlandish views unless we want an echo chamber.

We are in total agreement about the need for cash etc. Absolutely. But how is it deramping to ask a question about what might happen if no Fisko drilling? It is a possibility. Ashton answered my question very eloquently and sensibly without suggesting I had some other agenda. You have no right to tell people what to do.

I believe the surplus acreage has been put aside to build an ice prison for the detainment of Rod McIllroy for eternity with only a thousand tons of (poor quality) ilminite for company.

Say we don’t drill next year and get back to 51% and are a going concern because of the other projects for which we have new partners. Ok so far.

Then we want to bring in a new partner to drill because Kobold are not interested. But new partner wants a share .. in stages. But even giving them 10% means we are no longer in control. You see my point? We are snookered, unless as you point out they are diluted below 49. I think it’s a poor deal, but it is what it is!

Let’s just say they spent an amount which unfortunately is much the same as our market cap today! Come on Rob!
