Safer than GGP? Only premium bonds are safer but then the yield is below rubbish. I'd keep the money in GGP.

If you are willing to indulge in a bit of risk taking where the potential return makes you salivate with excitement, have a look at SNG: they are onto something truly amazing. You may want to use just a small part of your capital for that.

1. Merck offers 10 pounds per share. RM says no.
2. Pfizer strikes back with a 14 pounds per share offer. RM yawns.
3. GSK want a slice of cake and offer 20 pounds per share. RM says 'really'?
4. AZN are desperately buying in the background. The SP reaches 30 pounds as a result. When the 30% threshold is crossed, AZN make an offer that can't be refused: 42 pounds per share. RM is getting interested but BlackRock have bought so much in the meantime that the offer is likely to be rejected. AZN agree with BlackRock that the right price is 50 pounds per share. The deal is sealed and everyone's happy.

Now, what was the official price target? Oh, yes, 50 pounds per share. There you go.

Vivid -> Covid

I've just heard it on a German news channel that a multi-million search support programme for Covid treatments will start in Germany in January. The justification given was, unsurprisingly, that even if the vaccine roll-out proceeds as planned, there will be many hospital patients who will require an effective treatment.

Everyone seems to be waking up to the reality of Vivid lasting throughout 2021 and beyond.

I think (and hope) that Scally is a massive copper deposit, no matter how much gold is there too. The path taken by Greatland to develop the deposit will likely differ from that used for Havieron, hence no rush for a JV with Newcrest at this time.

After GH's surprising departure I'm more and more convinced that the core sample pictures that appeared on Twitter were indeed from Scally: it was a little parting gift from GH to the loyal shareholders, and I don't believe his 'clarification' that these were Havieron cores. He had to say something like that but I'm convinced it was more of a "nudge, nudge, wink, wink: these are Havieron cores; we wouldn't publish information on Scally, of course" denial.

One thing is nailed though: the SP one year from now will be well above 34p.
