- BfArM listed with proven CE certification (appropriate evidence must be attached),
- The test must be listed at the RKI,
- Clinical sensitivity:> 96.00%,
- Specificity:> 99.00%,
- For the front nasal area *,
- test tube contains buffer solution,
- Results in 15 to 30 minutes,
- Results are easy to read,
- storage at room temperature,
- Sample material: Anterio Nasal, anterior nasal area.
Included:
- 1x test cassette,
- 1x swab (fine plastic brush),
- 1x vial with extraction solution and dropper cap,
- 1x waste bag,
- 1x Instructions for Use Private Use.
Contents of a package: 1 COVID-19 antigen test cassette, 1 virus sample swab, 1 buffer vial à 3 ml, 1 sample bag, 1 instruction sheet DE.
This is an anterio-nasal self-test - the smear is taken in the anterior nasal cavity. The test is used for the qualitative in vitro determination of SARS-CoV-2 antigen in the human anterior nasal segment. It's not a spit test. Carrying out the corona antigen self-test is particularly easy and therefore predestined for personal use. All test materials required for this are included in the scope of delivery. A laboratory and other utensils are not required, which is why the test is also ideal for use at the so-called point-of-care. Store the test set at 4 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Shelf life at least 12 months or longer.
No cross-reactivity and interference with parainfluenza and influenza A and B viruses.

The client reserves the right to expand the contract if the pandemic and political situation dictates. The client also reserves the right to optionally change the delivery service if the sensitivity of the corona rapid tests changes. We are still having to go through extra security checks 20 years after 9/11.

So until we have global vaccination every country will be nervous accepting foreign travellers.

Testing will be with us for decades and governments will insist on Airlines only using approved quality tests.

After a successful day of saving lives and protecting the NHS,I walked into my office to see Gina choking on a throat swap from our world beating Innova test kits. I immediately tried to dislodge it with my tongue to save her life ….
I knew she only had a 50% chance of survival because it was an Innova test.

If it had been an Affidx test.100% she would of survived and I wouldn’t of put my tongue in and still be in a job…. What a twat.

From Business update:

The Group is also developing an in-house pipeline of Affimer based diagnostic tests. Resources have been focused during 2020 primarily on the immediate COVID testing opportunities, and since the lateral flow test is now in clinical evaluation the Group is in a position to begin to refocus its research and development resources onto non-COVID diagnostic tests, which include assays for D-dimer, cortisol, vitamins D and B12 and CRP.

Darren works for Leeds Uni so anything invented the IP belongs to the Uni.
AS also worked for Leeds Uni but seen the potential of affimers and left to set up Avacta.
Avacta bought a licence for the IP from the Uni,
So anything that is developed Leeds Uni receive a royalty, The Uni keeps developing affimers and it’s then passed to Avacta to commercialise.
Very clever by AS because he has a free R&D Department.
Clever by Leeds Uni because they have ongoing royalties.

I don’t think Universities because of the grants from government can’t set up a trading business but this is the model that most Uni’s use.
Similar happened to Oxford Uni and vaccine and Manchester Uni when a couple of their PHD’s invented graphene.

Darren Tomlinson is one of the inventors of affimers, he and Leeds Uni then licensed them to AS who set up Avacta to commercialise the affimer platform

This agreement provides Medusa 19 with exclusive distribution rights to consumers and non-exclusive distribution rights to businesses.

So Medusa have same non-exclusive distribution rights as Calibre but don’t seem to wanting to sell to businesses at the moment
hence not for sale on their website.
But to hey have exclusive distribution rights to consumers so they are going after home use.

Their home use (Airport travellers )trial must be nearly finished they can smell the money.
