You need to look at the RNS's from Morgan stanley etc as this bit is rather important:-
" 5. Date on which the threshold was crossed or reached vi : 30/04/2020".
That was last Thursday.

Not much movement. Maybe the market is simply waiting for the API and EIA reports. If the market is still flooded with oil and the outlook turns out to be similar no oil Co's sp is going up much is it? We will see. Note the EIA reort tomorrow is more important than the API one this evening.

PMO, and in fact most other non shale Co's have based their "survival level" shall we say on $35 Brent. Basically their worst case scenario, as far as I have read is Brent averaging $35 per year. They could not imagine it lower, and I suppose could not bring costs down to make break even lower than that. Then we had the virus........... and still have the virus.
Trouble is we have been as low as $18. It has been under $35 since 13th March, so getting on for two months.
Brent is still only $27.50. We need the API and EIA reports. Either confidence or more likely IMHO bad news.........far too early for good news to exist IMHO.
We will see.

So do you really think the World is consuming all the oil production (even if it's dropped by say 15m barrels a day) at the moment, or will be over then next several weeks? You do!!!!???
All this talk of the market looking ahead is mostly rubbish IMHO. More like next few hours and next few days if you ask me.

The oil price reacts to both, but a bad API and EIA report will see Brent going straight back from where it came.

We will see what the FACTS reveal in the API report later, and more importantly the EIA report tomorrow afternoon.
Has it not occured to you the oil production before the oil cut which started just 4 days ago is still en-route to wherever and in some instances, I'm sure won't arrive for a few weeks at least! Also they would be sending out as much as possible before the cut to maximise revenue.

is now $26.60 having moved up from the $23 to $24 level of late.
The question is will the crude oil stock levels that will be reported be percieved by the market as bad (as in still far too much oil etc...), or good (as in the levels are going down, or look like they will be going down soon).
I can only arrive at one answer for this at the moment. My opinion, for what it is worth is there is NO CHANCE of the latter being the case. IMHO the modest rise to $26 is based on hope and not fact. I see the price of Brent returning to $24, if not $23.

Two reasosns.
1. Sometimes.... no quite a few times I do typos so I like to correct them.
2. Every time you post it appears on the Regular share chat screen (see above and to the left). All posts are shown on the list. I believe these are looked at all day by some investors. Sometimes if I need a new share lead I look at the list too, refreshing it every minute or so when it's busy.

for obvious reasosn like cycle to work to avoid public transport and MILLIONS people in lockdown buying bikes to get out and execise. Add to that Halfords near monopoly. Most stores open for click and collect. Collect bike built for free in store rather than assemble from box at home which would be a pain. Then we have the dividend that could be re-instated if sales are up to it..... Was £1.60 per share before lockdown. Nice weather forcast for rest of week in UK as well!!!
