Shows just 51.... They had 394 about 3 weeks ago. I am astonoshed frankly. On the one hand you could argue they have sold a load, on the other they can't get stock in. With just 51 I think the latter is true.

Closing all the car phone warehouse branches saves money.
We will see who is correct here.
The WEB site has seen a 125% upsurge as per the last RNS (more then doubled).
That was before most of the advertising I have noticed recenty...... so is it now 200%........ or 250%??
IF they had to pay the store staff during this lockdown it would have been a disaster.
But the store staff are costing them ZERO as in nothing.
This is another Halfords (went up 80% in the last few weeks).
The sp is heading North of £1.20 IMHO.

When the stores re-open there will be massive demand for computer repairs. ******TOTALLY OBVIOUS******.
Massive demand to set up "work from home". ******TOTALLY OBVIOUS******. I imagine the dividend being re-instated.

So volume suddenly doubled and sp moved up 5.4% 29/30p.
Clearly at last some are taking an interest with the gold price still near a 7 year high.

Smart phones must have been selling well also due to million slocked in.
In fact when, on the Downing Street update they announce to the UK the app is:-
1. Available.
2. Encourage evryone to use it for saftey reasons.
What is going to happen to sales of smart pnones????????????
Dixons Carphone are isn a good position here. Remember all store staff wages will have been covered by the Government and cost Dixons NOTHING.

As we know the stores are big, so lend themselves to being far better for the 2m spacing.
I predict massive demand as it would have built up over the siz weeks or so it will have been.
I think we will wave goodbye to the sp being in the 60p or 70p range early next week.
There has been huge on line demand for laptop computers (presumably driven by woking from home) and I predict once the Governments app is released it will become difficult to get a new mobile phone due to demand and stock levels.
When the app is announced on the TV how many are watching, or watch later? 15 to 20 million? How many will decide they now, at last must get a smart phone and how many will need to upgrade their existing mobile phone? A million, two million?
A massive surge in demand is completely obvious.

Once this app ia approved and available (give it 2 weeks?) how many people will want it for their loved ones to help keep them safe? To run the app you will need a smart phone on you. Also will the app run on older models??? I doubt it.
You don't have to be brain of Britain to realise that smart phone sales are going to ROCKET, if they ar not already.

Countries have massive populations last time I heard!
Here, in the UK, with our 66 MILLION PEOPLE OR SO the government are testing an app for smart phones to help people keep safe. Once it's been tested, tweaked and approved how many hundredes of thousands, if not millions of people just in this country are going to want the app??????? VOD are in various countries all over the World.
These apps are going to increase smart phone sales by IMHO hundreds of millions when you look at it globally.
Seems obvious to me.

In some countries already you have to have a smart phone to be allowed in certain areas (China an example).
If more people have smart phones then they are going to use them more, that is obvious.
So it is pretty obvious that the Companies providing the phone services will benefit.
Actually it's totally obvious to anyone with half a brain.
Stock market is still mulling this one over..........
