About time this share took off in my opinion, or should I say weigh anchor??

They shoud pay all the bills the International Arbitration has instructed them to and move on.
They can blame the opposition for getting them in this mess in the first place.
Then they can promote this to show they are a safe Country to invest in.
Also the interest and legal fees will stop growing.
Extremely badly handled and not settling sooned has cost India litrally hundreds of millions of dollars. What a wasye of money!

If the main shareholders, who include Blackrock (very welcome!) did agree to a compromise as far as the interest and legal fees go any other cases, and there are bound to be others (including with other countries) will pick up on that and want similar treatment. I think it is very likely they won't compromise much, if at all. Some of the Indian media paint Cairn as being somehow out of order! Unfortunately the fact of the matter is the Indian Governments have caused all of this. It is entirely their own fault and it should be remembered that the money is ***** COMPENSATION ***** for what India did. Yes, compensation!!!

I think if the Indian Government think cairn are going to let them off all the $700 million interest and costs then they all need their heads examined as far as I am concerned. I mean if a court ordered, say someone you know has the money, to pay you for example £170,000 and they said they would pay you £100,000 as final settlement if you forget about the £70,000 what would you say? I think it might be quite rude!

I do not believe this would drag on for years.
India are at the end of the road, and they know it.
They will almost certainly lose the appeal and then the gates are fully open for all the legal cases against them all over the World, as in taking possession of their assets and selling them off to pay the huge bill. It would be Carirn, Vodafone and the 15 other cases AT LEAST. On top of that access to international credit will probably be affected in that it will be far more expensive to reflect the risk costong billions in the years ahead.
I think they were crazy not to pay up last December when they lost the arbitration. Now they will have to pay the price of delay after delay. They only have themselves to blame.

from just about what ever way you look at it are going to pay Cairn a MINIMUM of $1 billion the sp, @ £1.86 seems completely out of sync. OK, now £1.87. Just about everyone says that with $1 billlion the sp should be at MIMIMUM £2.30 ish, if not £2.80! Say no more!
