July 2021 and the price of Brent crude has crashed to under $100, currently $99.31.
Also Carnival have raised billions on the markets ALREADY to tide them though.
It's buy for the medium to long term IMHO. A steal.

So 1 week and short haul and just at heathrow. No doubt the long haul routes are more lucrative.
Seems a sensible thing to do for the 1 week. Artical says they are close to the max throughput for the airport and that says we have more than enough demand.

and then up to the $108 it came from IMHO. Now about $10 lower than just last Friday morning!
Bodes well for airline and cruise ship Co's. And us filling uo at the pump in 5 days or so when the drop arrives at the forecourts!

$99.45. You would have thought buyers would be steaming in at this level. Would not be at all surprised if it suddenly moves up say $5 or so.

7.1475 barrels in a metric ton.
$900 a ton / 7.1475 = $125 a barrel.
So it seems 60% is hedged at $125, with 40% floating with the market.
Is that about right?

Can you point me to where I can find out IAG's hedging please.
Of course no airline or other hedge more than about 50% or so.
It will be interesting to see what % of IAG's fuel this year is hedged, and at what price.

with EZY just followed as I typr this................... Now blue.
IAG hopefully about to follow on the back of the massive drop in the cost of oil.

This oil price drop is severe and on top of it falling from $124 around 14th June,, then $113 around 5th July and $108 just last Friday. It is now $99.90.
By any stretch that is a massive fall fron the highs due to the Ukrains war.
We all know aircraft us a lot of fuel, and so do cruise ships!
You can always filter me if you want.

If it stays there the fuel costs for cruise line Co's and Airlines are going to come right down.
