Once presumes this is to do with the oil price coming back some, Brent now $88.73. Still way of the $95 it was 7 days ago though!

Even though I am now slightly down with these I seem to be quite happy with my position.

Fuel is a very large cost to all airlines, that is a well known fact.
With Brent crude down to $82.40 as I type this when it was no less that $95 just six days ago.
This is extremely good news for airlines.

Sp still down 0.5%, completely illogical considering the price of Brent crude has gone down by 15% in just 6 days. A $12 a barrel drop in price. Huge.

It was $95 on 15th November. Today, just 6 days later it is $82.98. That is a drop of $12 a barrel IN 6 DAYS, about 15%!!! Mad.

Brent crude is down to $83.22 which can only be EXTREMELY GOOD for all industry.
Just shows how nuts the markets are if you ask me.

This article says when Brent was $101 it accounted for 24% of airline operating costs so I disagree with your post. Have a read.......
