Obviously the Chinese authorities are confident this will not result in big problems or they would not do it. I imagine the covid strain circulating is Omicron, or similar, in which case most people will get no more than symptoms similar to a cold, or even no symptoms at all.

on the NYSE after our results (up 4% here after yesterdays results) so on the back of a bad day generally in the USA it's not good but no big deal. Hopefully up tomorrow.

1. The sp in the USA went up 5% and over here 4% folloing the trading update.
2. As we have just had the trading upate there are no skeletons on the cupboard waiting to shock the market.
I conclude that at least compared to other Companies that have not updated the market in weeks/months we know where we are with Carnival, and the market liked the update just yesterday!
It's going to bounce bigtime.
All IMHO.

Maybe down 9% on the NYSE at the moment as the USA stocks are having a big tumble (6.00 PM uk time) but one should not forget it gained 5% yesterday on the NYSE. So we cold call it down 4% and we will see what it is on the NYSE at close (our time 9PM).
Also I suspect some CCL directors wil be buying shares very soon as they may believe the Company is on it's way back to profitability, as I do.

I'm sure the management will be sorting out the compensation issues asap.
