Using a simple cheek swab, the non-invasive test can be performed at the bedside. From the swab, the genedrive system interprets the genetic information on the patient and informs the clinician with options on the course of treatment.

Previously, genetic testing for CYP2C19 could only be carried out using specialist laboratories, *****a process which can take several days.*****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The question is what is the availability of a lab test for these, is it 8 DNA variants if the medic wants the lab test? So we are looking at:-

1. Does our hospital use a lab that offeres this DNA test?

2. If it does how long until we get the result. Several hours, a few days, more?

3. Is it more expensive than the Genedrive test (NICE say yes.........).

4. The lab needs a blood draw. That is more dangerous than a cheek swab. Risk of infection when doing a blood draw.

Erm...... anyone think we should buy one of there machines instead of the above? Result in about an hour!

How can any medic "Use the Genedrive CYP2C19 ID Kit point-of-care test for CYP2C19 genotype testing when laboratory-based testing is not available.", when they have not got one to use?????? So when laboratory-based testing is not available what do they do?? Pray? Oh no, it says use either the Gendrive machine or the Genomadix Cube does it not! Therefore they need to order one or the other.......

Then why are items 1.3 AND 1.4 even in the "Point-of-care testing" section? It would just say:-

"Use the lab test for all Point-of-care testing.".

At the end of the day the medic will take the decision and I know what I would do when the choice is wait one hour or a day or more.

This is what it says. However, I don't think Genedrive expected their machine to be recommended over the lab test. From reading the documents it is obvious NICE would like to use lab tests for everything. One port of call so to speak. However, any lab test will NEVER be faster than a machine that is at the bedside and gives the result in an hour. For a lab test you need a blood draw, then you need to get the sample to the lab which might be 100 miles away. In practice the machine will be used when the result from the lab is deemed to take too long by the medic. We are talking days here. They can now sell the CYP2C19 ID Kit to the NHS. Private hospitals can also use it. It's obvious there is a good market for the machine's use in the NHS and private hospitals.

You know as well as I do AGL shares are illiquid and so spike up massively on good news. Last time they spiked to about 25p, the time before 31p. Today you can buy for 13p. I did. I'm waiting. Do what you want.

When a share like AGL spikes up to 25p on a deal with Astrazeneca like earlier this year it does not matter whether you buy now at 13p and wait or wait for your out of thin air assumption that there will be a profit warning. If a big deal RNS drops tomorrow before the bell the mm's will put the ask up to 15p for starters, if not more. Oh, and if you think a massive deal won't drop on a Friday, the is exactly what happened with the second Astrazeneca deal. See link below. The fact that AGL have gone more than 3 months without a decent positive RNS says to me we are closer to one. I must admit the sales team have a lot of explaining to do if you ask me on the big deals, but Maybe Mr Newland is quietly confident they won't need to issue a profit warning because of other revenue, or there are one or 2 big ones "in the bag". I imagine they gave some prominent Companies the Parsortix machine to use. But what about the consumables. I guess 50 cassettes to get them going? Maybe that is why him and the cfo have had the confidence to be out of the limelight since the placing. Maybe they know they will meet the revenue expectations ...... and more?

Only the top management know about how the revenue is going from the sales of the Parsortix machine, the associated consumables etc.... Plus of course the assays they now offer. There is a lot more to Angle than just the prospect of huge profits from Pharma Co's measuring the effect of their new cancer drugs on the circulating tumour cells, so they have a "running update" on the drugs effect. I am absolutely astounded that more Companies doing cancer drug trials have not (yet) paid Angle to help them get this information. The word "flabbergasted" springs to mind. These massive Plc's pay millions to do cancer drug trials, and they won't even pay Angle to monitor the effect of the drug on the circulating tumour cells (CTC’s, cancerous cells) that Angle's Parsortix machine can now catch for testing. It is truly astounding to me. Maybe we will get an avalanche of Pharma Plc’s running to Angle to get on board……………. Angle only have so much capacity to produce the assays to test whatever the Pharma Co’s want to in the CTC’s. Just half a dozen or so more contracts to produce assays to test “x” in the CTC’s would find them struggling IMHO. That would be about £3 million, on top of their revenue from all the other things they do. That would be to produce the assays only. Mr Newland has already said actually using the assays and doing the analysis costs about $2,500 per tube of blood. So the actual testing for each patient before, during and after the trial would be many millions more.

That would be good. I am unhappy about the lack of news since the placing @ 15p in June this year.

It smacks of the management putting a huge effort into publicity before the placing, then, well who knows? Did they all go on safari or something? It went so quiet (still is) I thought they had had an offer to buy the Company. The silence is truly amazing. No, astonishing. There simply MUST be some news about to break. At 13p to buy that is why I select "Strong Buy". Hope I'm right.

Shares just 2 weeks ago (15th August) would not have happened if things were not going well. Why would he spend £31,000 on shares in GDR if he thought otherwise? Makes no sense. I think he knows what is coming. The speed of the Genedrive CYP2C19 ID and ease of use mean it will be a big winner.
