When Newland announces the next Eisai/Astrazeneca type deal the sp will double.

The RNS of 2nd Jan (see below) may open the door to tens of millions of pounds, if not more. Participants in any cancer trial need to meet certain criteria to take part. For breast cancer many treatments target the HER2 status of the cancer. In the Eisei trial they need people who are HER2 positive. Angle are going to use their assay to test the circulating tumour cells (CTC's) to find out the HER2 status of the person. There is no other way of doing this after the original tumour is removed when the cancer is discovered as there is nothing left to test. If successful this will open the door to Angle offering this service. Selecting the most suitable candidates for the trial, testing them just before the trial starts (as a yard stick for how the treatment performs), during the trial and after the trial.

The shares are a steal at this price IMHO.

Previously I was thinking about the obvious use of testing the circulating tumour cells (CTC's) just before (as a starting point for the measure) any cancer drug trial. Then during the trial and after to find out how the drug performed. Mr Newland mentioned the potential massive savings a Pharma Co. could get in making sure (before any cancer drug trial) the participants still meet the criteria for the trial. So for instance if the cancer drug trial needs people that are HER2 positive and they apply 6 months before the trial using Parsortix a Pharma Co. could re-test them to find out if they still are just before the trial. If not they are no longer eligable for the trial they need alternative treatment!

For drug trials saving a fortune! E.G you want to test cancer drug on people with cancer who are HER2 positive. But that can change to HER2 negative in the time between the original tumour analysis and the trial. So you use Parsortix to test them shortly before the trial starts to make sure they are STILL HER2 positive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Angle part of the Webinar was from 6pm UK time until just now. 6:35pm, just been watching it.

Good they are highlighting the Eisai and Astrazeneca contracts, as they should. They mentioned an area in their lab is already set up for processing the blood samples from the Eisai cancer drug trial. They also highlighted that the parsortix system has been proven to work with any cancer. Also, that the circulating tumour cells Parsortix catches are 99% live and intact so perfect for analysis of the proteins etc.. The standard DNA analysis of blood offered by the likes of Grail cannot give the information the live and intact CTC's can as it does not exist in the dead DNA fragments that CtDna analysis of blood looks at.
