That is exactly where we are from the moment Newcrest pulled their man from the BOD, and BHP didn't get their cheap shares when Nick did his streaming deal. If that was not the case, they would not now be supporting the main enemy of the West.

Sure, I do hope that Nick can get an auction going, but he is being punished for upsetting people, and I don't hold out much hope that he can get an auction going. Perhaps he should consider a management buyout! With Redknight and his wife backing him, I am sure he would be able to beat 28p 🤣😂

It's not 75% of the shares JCC needs to win. They need 75% of the votes cast on the day! So, if only 100 of us turns up to vote on the day the scheme is put before us and 25 of of us votes no, the deal is blocked, the blocking minority. That is why it's extremely important that we all cast our votes. That is why I am surprised that Rodney is not vocal about getting his registry to vote no. Perhaps having his shiny registry on his mantle piece sitting there doing nowt is more important to our Rodders🤣😂

I haven't closely followed the DGR debt saga, but I gather that their shareholders aren't happy with Mather. He certainly appeared to overextended himself financially. Not long to wait for the Jiangxi declaration. I hope that we won't have to wait long to know the outcome to spare us the ordeal of a protracted period of uncertainty.

So its not just solg shareholders getting shafted?! DGR shareholders will be lucky to see any of the money from the sound of it. I can't see them voting to back the 28p price. But will their vote be enough to help block the deal? Nick cannot be happy with how is legacy is being tarnished. The article clearly states that BHP are backing away because NM raised capital instead of giving them shares. Sounds like payback to me

I have no knowledge of China's ODI Approval process. However, I understand that the PRC could quietly ask for:

-Jiangxi to go for stage ownership.

-A JV.

-Take minority path to full control of SolGold.

1 of the above instead of buying the company outright.

Jiangxi would not have bothered to go to the trouble of applying for the ODI if they weren't serious about making a formal offer in my opinion.

I think my understanding of going hostile is different from yours. I understand when the bidder goes hostile they bypass the BOD and appeal directly to shareholders with a higher value than the one the BOD refuses to recommend. In this case, please go hostile if it means more than 28p.

I think that the BOD has failed in its fiduciary duty to us when they published an rns telling us that they are minded to recommend 28p to us rather than the nav which you keep going on about. They rejected 26p, so why couldn't they also reject 28p?

Nick, BHP, Newmont minded to support Jiangxi's 28p bid sticks in my craw. I mentally cannot get past that single fact. Had Nick withheld his mined support, I would agree with you that the game is afoot. But seeing Nick, Mr I Will Not Sell Cheap, name on the minded list killed whatever hope I have left. It's going to be 28p with perhaps a bump to try and prevent a blocking minority vote.

Remember, you would have to buy an awful lot of shares to average down to make up for your losses if you are to be believed that you haven't sold any shares from back in the day. Admit that you took profit and stop making out that you held all the way from 9p to 3p to 0.35p and with Anglo walking.

Finally, don't forget that we have been here before where the case was won against Mushy only for him to turn up years later to cause trouble. As long as Arc is in Mushy's country and he is still alive, he will be forever causing trouble for Arc. People who got in at 3p, 4p will not be happy of talks about a 2p takeover.

I Don't think I am being childish. Everyone remember BHP’S reaction when Nick got the finance without issuing shares to them. They even got rid of Nick from the CEO position and resorted to boardroom shenanigans. Newcrest pulled their man from the BOD. Now both have sided with Jiangxi against Nick while everyone knows Nick used the solg shares as collateral. Bob and Warren both blame Nick for destroying solg's value. The end result is that BHP/Newmont are not buying solg even after many here thought the 2 might get together and buy solg or jv. So for me, they are giving Nick payback. And, there are no white Knights because people are wondering why they should buy solg if 2 majors don't want to buy solg. I hope I am wrong.
