Good point. We know that the owners wanted to sell Spirit within 3 yrs, that passed in Dec 20. We know parties have been talking for months.
Therefore I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a statement this month about a deal being agreed.
Of course these facts have been tempered by the Covid mess; nevertheless a sale when oil price is in contango usually means a perceived win win to sellers and buyers. Question is value, can Spirit be sold for at least £3b, representing £2.2b for Centrica. Let’s see
