$50 Brent, in a different market, positive sentiment, this would be flying.
Europe, US and UK are facing some uncertainty this minute.
Once again it would be wrong to think the day traders are selling because of company specific matters. When the market is jittering we see the machievellious behaviour of traders. Some might be invested as well trade, so win either way.

YE, I see the opportunity of fixing good hedges going forwards in a market in contango, what is it that you see?
Oil traders will tell you of the transformation in the market and the opportunities for getting good hedges. But I also think hedges could be limited as the oil price is likely to benefit from an uptrend.

The share price of oilers like Tullow will start pushing up.
Would hate to be short or hoping for the 20p region again. Only bad campany news will cause a sell off.

For those that are invested let’s enjoy the higher oil price and the sp rising over the coming days.
Slift and Tony keep banging on about dilution and picking out the worst possible scenario come the RBL. Just be careful of their posts.
If I am right neither have shares and want the sp to drop before buying, perhaps they work for the shorting lot. So just be careful.
I said before that just when good news abounds Slift and Tony dwell on the negatives, why.

Tullow will go up and has stagnated around 32p and should push up from here.

Big gap up tomorrow, probably 35-36p on open.

Drop the sell and trigger automatic trades. I always control when I sell rather than get hoodwinked.

Although market is worrying about a deal and explains their softening oilers are influenced by the Brent bench mark. This is on the cusp of breaking $50, last seen at the beginning of the pandemic.
So if you have invested in Tullow stay put and check you don’t have auto trades set.
Likely bounce coming.

Going to be interesting the price effect.

Just an observation though. Since the CMD news we have seen less effect of the shorters or traders for that matter. Since March we have seen strong swings within the macro trend but this has mostly gone.
The mood has changed and the market sentiment is optimistic. I said a few weeks back that 32p was my view of the new floor, so little chance of downside from here. Conversely oil, vaccine, US stimulus, even Brexit will provide pushes upwards. This news is happening now.
So not a time to sell but wait for these rises.
Specific company news in January will have a direct bearing on the sp and if you have followed the news flow and announcements by the company the RBL review will provide sp rerate opportunity.
Great choice of investment and less so for trading/shorting, maybe off the peaks. New and higher floors ahead.

Hi C, relative to today on news on Brexit and oil price moving past the threshold of 50USD. 30-40% rerate for this.
RBL in Jan would be another significant move and game changer, along with steady rise in oil to $60plus oil in q1,21. Both of these would propel the sp in excess of 60p towards £1 sometime in h1,21. On oil reaching 70USD we would be looking at £1.5-£2 range. If the oil bulls are right this. Plus occur in h2,21.
IMO.

Haven’t seen this level of movement for several months.
All major oilers moving up indicating more optimism on oil price.
All indicators look good for oil and Tullow.
Other news affecting markets are Brexit and US news.
I am optimistic that by Friday we should see relief from the doom and the breaks on markets will be released.
If oil breaks $50 my view is a Tullow sp of significant rerate to high 30s / low 40s.

Good news coming, Brexit deal, US vaccine roll out, US stimulus, OPEC deal last week starting to take effect

I am inclined to say yes.
After close today we will know if a deal has been done. My view is a strong boost to all shares tomorrow. If not then not much change, this is because no deal could already be factored in.
Whole 4% down due to oil price the general trend is up for oil, reports of Nigerian strikes too. The OPEC deal last week is a good one and the effects start being felt in future trades.
We should have pushed up today rather wandered down, however, the whole market has been worrying about a no deal.
I see a deal today and a general boost in share prices tomorrow. Lots of good news this week and Tullow should end it up, how much will depend on the market news; Tullow news already issued and settled.
