Its my view that the company requires cash funding, which I welcome as they need to progress projects not just sit on assets. I speculate that it will be around start of november. 14 July was aquisition. My view is they need 1.3M in a year to make satisfactory progress and add fundamental value

@smkr it has surprised me that majors haven't been sniffing around many Greenland projects. Let's face it, many of them are going for a song if you look at the mcap and potential. It just depends on how far down the developmental road the majors are willing to look. I know RIO have a significant interest in one EU Strategic Project, but yes, I agree there is a potential for a "scramble for Greenland". As for a US invasion, they could legitmately buy valuable resources for the price of a single cruise missile.

As a LTH too, I'm as confident as can be that very positive developments will unfold in the near future. Geologically, the project is largely derisked. The challenges that are faced are :-

1. finance to DFS FID (pre construction stage) £15m is required (for both the mine and the anode material plant. I've already given my thoughts on the impact on fundamental value of the various likely outcomes

2. successful development of the sodium hydroxide processing method, from the lab bench to industrial scale (this is one of the objectives of the pilot active anode plant)

Longer term risks are

Having looked at TechEU, it may be that the graphite project is further advanced than the programme is targetted for. Nevertheless the EU has in the past few days doubled the allocated funds for Greenland

Let's wait until we have the results from the blasting programme before reaching any conclusions about viability. My gut feeling is that there are viable reserves, however the whole planning process to reopen is likely to be torturous. I suspect that the BOD will want to continue extracting small amounts under exploration licence for as long as is possible, which is frustrating. What I would like to see is that upon confirmation of good grades, that planning applications are put in place in parallel with further exploration, particularly of the main lode extension and below level 5 at Llechfraith. My concerns are the priorities of the BOD, who have shown they are not committed to continuous operations at Clogau. I accept however , that in the past 8 months they've had severe cash constraints.

As for ALBA divesting from GROC, yes it would release some badly needed cash, however having discussed this with GF the bods thinking is to hold and if possible add to ALBA's holding. To my knowledge ALBA have not sold one share but have, when feasible, participated in fund raises. Naturally dilution has eroded their percentage ownership.

@smkr since groc comprise 2/3 of alba current market value and groc news is most imminent game changer, then it's entirely right to put more focus on it than motzfeldt. most people on here know who i am. as for, "active a **** about alba", did i see you at the agm or the clogau mine visit ?

Those who were at the AGM may remember (pre motzfeldt) that I thought £1.3M would be reasonable to make progress. Now Motzfeldt is there, then I'd hope the necessary studies are conducted with alacrity. Perhaps another £1m this year in consultancy and testing , some fieldwork next year ?

I think £2m would be sufficient to make good focused progress. Seems from ukog that 35% below 10 day average is the going discount.
