It’s also interesting that Tesla has dropped prices again to boost demand. Which in turn increases demand for lithium, boosting prices but not too high as that then increases costs which forces car manufacturers to increase prices! I’m sure it will settle eventually and I’m confident it will be more than $2080 per tonne..

Yeah it’s a bad situation for them, feel sorry for them. I do think it will bounce back as nothing has changed in the ground and they have a ton of lithium there. If it is all false then Blue orca are in for a tough time. I’ve checked and they have done similar to a number of other companies. I don’t think they will release an RNS now but wait until lawyers go over with a fine toothcomb. Shows the power of social media of obliterating or increasing share prices.

If it is a false accusation, surely ALL can sue them for substantial damages as it affects their brand name? I’m not a lawyer though…

Hi Lav I haven’t heard of blue orca either. You’d hope that they have confirmed reports rather than a hunch. If not they are in for a rough time and better have some amazing lawyers!

I’ve had a quick read and in summary it’s saying there is corruption going on behind the scenes…but all to do with one article. I’d expect it to bounce back as there is clearly a ton of lithium there but they need to get the licenses properly…

Yep totally agree Lav…just need to be patient holding. I’m confident we will be rewarded, who knows maybe even get bought out down the line. Sub £70m market cap for what we currently have is v undervalued.

I think it will….but for me the real rise will be when we start producing. I’d like it to be 0.5 plus once we have the funding but it is a long term game, I am looking forward in a few years time.

And actually in theory it might mean the prices of electric cars drop which in turn boosts demand which then pushes lithium prices back up…who knows! But yep Bernie is one clever cookie.

Yeah agreed he’s been very clever in his pricing assumptions and left loads of room for prices to drop, others may not have foreseen this huge pullback. It was clearly not sustainable though. Once kod is up and running in 14 months or so, think it should have stabilised somewhat.

Interesting to note forecast from RBC is “slumping” to $4,275 per tonne in 2024. Bernie has forecasted just over $2k per tonne so well ahead of current forecasts…

Yeah agree. I was shocked on Goldman’s price forecast, for me that’s is so low. The forecasts are just so wild across many companies so hardly any consistency. Guess will just have to wait and see!

Folks, I’ve been reading up on lithium price forecast and there are so many different forecasts. Goldman Sachs I feel are being super pessimistic (never trust them anyway) and others actually forecasting an uplift over the next few years. I am not an expert here so wanted to see what other people thought on lithium price forecasts? Cheers!
