NIH issues huge database of CT scans for AI testing.

July 20, 2018 -- Following its recent release of a massive database of chest x-rays, the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) has now made nearly 10,600 CT scans publicly available to support the development and testing of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for medical applications.

Called DeepLesion, the massive storehouse of imaging data was created by Dr. Ronald Summers, PhD, and colleagues at the NIH by culling clinically relevant annotations from CT scans previously acquired by radiologists at their institution. Summers is a senior investigator and staff radiologist at the NIH Imaging Biomarkers and Computer-Aided Diagnosis Laboratory.

I agree with every word of your post Shaz. Less than 100k shares sold exceeding the number of shares bought. Anyone looking at just the posted buy / sell ratio would get entirely the wrong idea.

None as far as I am aware but he did receive 5.6 million options recently. I have no idea whether he gets to keep them on not but am assuming he does/

It's a tree shake but, as you say, it hasn't worked particularly well.

Market-makers (who control share prices in smaller companies) are known to try and 'tree-shake' investors into selling shares so they can buy them on the cheap. They drop the share price dramatically in order to shake out scared holders. They often do this when they have a big buy order to fill.

1.92p (700k but up to 2.02p for smaller amounts) - 2.194p (15k)

Guess buying will dry up if people can only get 15k on line with price certainty. MM's want these shares right now.

The TexRAD patent application has been picked up on the 'Fresh Patents' site. They have a front page synopsis which is pretty good if you don't fancy downloading the full patent.

Yes it is. I think people are wondering why the company are making a newly amended patent application now (after such a long hiatus) and are assuming it is because TexRAD is about to hit the US market in the near future. GE are a partner so it might be that they wish to embed TexRAD software in their next generation of CT / PET scanners. The USA is a massive market for them after all. Let's see if an application for FDA approval is soon to be submitted. There would be no FDA approval without a confirmed US Patent I suspect.
