Little more movement upwards here and POG is steadily moving north. USD also seems to be a little weaker. Will the prediction of a significant rise in POG in January happen? Break 1300?

Great summary of where are currently in terms of PAF, ANC politics and of course the Cyril Factor. We yet have to see what the New ANC President has installed as far a moving forward, curbing corruption and setting the SA Economy back on the path to create growth and prosperity for all. A complicated and mean feat, as there are many zumites in high positions, ready to stir things up to their satisfaction. Wonder what the immediate implications of firing zuma will be? If this happens, will there be a backlash as the high life for ruling few has been very comfortable.

Rickards and others have been going on about POG and the (good) reasons why, for a few years now. They could eventually be right, LOL! Good to see a steady improvement here as I always believed in Shanta being a well run outfit. But, the Acacia effect sucked!

Interesting that to date, CMCL has fallen the least in terms of sp versus so many other commodities! Traditionally the run up to Xmas use to be pro gold! Stockmarkets keep rising and the latest Trump "victory" to revamp taxes has taken the shine off PM's. We are in need of a Black Swan or continue to bleed, LOL!

On the question of Assore, I would not be surprised if part of their strategy is to diversify out of SA as the new mining charter on the table makes SA unattractive for mining investment and the politics there has created an uncertain environment. Agree about NM. Thanks for the reassurance regarding the effect of big holders here as I see a minefield of events by manipulation of very large players on Solg. Hope NM can handle all of that? Ivanhoe comes to mind!

Good question, Not2sure! Wonder what Toro or one of the others would answer to your question? I personally don't think any of the resources are anywhere near "fruition" yet. Long road ahead and if I extrapolate from Solg, when the bigger players become involved, it get's tricky and a jolly messy and a dirty game!

Gold had a brush with 1300 today on the basis of a weak dollar. Highest was 1299. Wonder if this is the beginning of our next leg up in Au?

The weakening USD is apparently the reason the $ made a retrace of its losses from last week. The highest Au got to was $1299/Oz. Will Au break this barrier before Xmas? Nice rise again today!

I liked the interview. While Zim is a hot topic and the world is in amazement of the bloodless "non-coup", its the right time to get their message across to investors. The management have a no nonsense, straight bat approach. Strictly business and minimal political speculation. For now, the news is as good as it can be! All about hitting their targets and more in the future. Hope we get regular updates on activity.
