$1340 on Goldseek. When does this start to influence the gold miners positively, I wonder?

Not looked in detail on Barchart or equivalent what the technological interpretation is but, certainly eyeballing things on the LSE board, 14 pence seems to be a barrier. What do the other techies have to say?

Earlier today, the POG was quoted as $1333 at it's peak. Is it quietly going to reach for the skies? Trump seems to making enemies of all and sundry, LOL! Imagine if the Chinese, Russians and other's succeed to convert crude oil payments into Chinese currency and gold? The effect on the USD could be significant. Plus, if the Chinese stop supporting US Debt by slowing their buying of US Bonds! A weakening USD could mean big shifts in POG! Lastly, if "paper gold" collapsed with no gold physically available, wow!

Highest POG today was $1327 on Gold seek. More important going forward is the weakening USD. Then there is a rumour the Chinese may put a halt on buying US Debt! Imagine if this is true? POG will shoot upwards, imho? Or am I wrong?

On the back that China may stop buying US Bonds, the USD retraced rapidly versus the Yen. Wonder if gold shares will tick up? Particularly CMCL?

From News24SA, the new president could be serious! IN his inaugural address the new President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, confirmed that land reform was both historically necessary and irreversible. He also made a commitment to compensate farmers who were forced off their land during the fast track land reform programme of the 2000s. Bodes well for mining in Zimbabwe if they are even prepared to sort out the land issue!

Thanks HawaiifiveO, I missed that wonderful news! Just worry, the new regime is still too new! The new guy was instrumental in the Matabele slaughter many years back. Just wondering if a leopard changes its spots, LOL? But, on the other hand, they have invited farmers back. The only way Zim can get back on track, and it was the real Bread Basket of Africa, is to put the past behind and reach out to the West again. Do away with all that bribery, nepotism and corruption etc...Just my humble opinion, after a beer or two!

Goldseek - POG $1322! Hope this bodes well. I read in Daily Reckoning today that $1400 was thought to be a realistic target for 2018? Also Jim Rickards says that wherever he travels, and he travels a lot! Meets important connected folk, there is a shortage of physical gold. Ruassia, China and others are buying furiously. US has not sold any Au for many years. The Swiss smelters are short of supplies, Europeans are repatriating Au (Germans). This all means that the scam of paper gold is going to fold big time (soon?). All spells good gold solid goldmine holders in the near future (I bloody hope!)!

On Goldseek tonight: Au $1322 Ag $17,20 USD weakens again! So why should HOCH's not peak again?

USD will also be like a Yo-Yo! But as a fiat currency near its termination (LOL!), it must go down in spurts! If this happens, that is usually good for PM's! All that debt, a mad trumpeter in charge, a big red button on the desk. A ruddy pantomime for the next year or longer! Really exciting times!

From Mining Journal today: RBC Capital Markets downgraded HOC's after the share reached what they felt was their target price of �2-70. Guess the management of HOC's might search for some positive news to help us up again! POS was just starting to reach into the $17-00/Oz!
