Agree, the socio-economic situation is more complicated than it looks superficially. On the one hand - the big investor versus the small worker now with a vote and a voice, aspirations and expectations! Not sure I really know how it feels down at the bottom! But, in SA the squeeze is definitely felt down there! Mantashe will need to deliver on all fronts!

PAF prioritising lower cost higher margin ounces and hoping rand remains weaker and POG higher 4 Expansion projects - Elikhulu remains ahead of schedule and 1st gold in August 2018 5. A feasibility study has confirmed viability of Evander Retreatment plant 6. 100% increase in resources at Barberton Royal Sheba Project to 720,000ounces 7. PAF according to Cobus Loots expects to deliver improved production results and cost savings in the next reporting period 8. 1st half of the year was also hit by industrial action and technical problems now overccome

Could the market be forward looking and will silver outperform Au in the short term? Why the sudden rise in silver mines after a long period of being in the doldrums? Good tic upwards today! LOL!

My thoughts were that the RNS was good. Please correct me if I am wrong, LOL?!! Perhaps the tide has changed for HOC's? Will we be spiralling up? It is a rather volatile share, imho. There is much written about immediate (excellent) prospects for the price of silver. Are we performing better than Shanta? Possibly your opinion? A Matabelie lady I work with tells me there are fresh elections next year and the opposition are packed with youth and the old guard in power will be toppled! Wonder if this is a correct prediction and what are the consequences?

Just read Hochchilds 1st Quarter report and noted that for gold production their all-in sustaining costs are between $940 to $960. Versus PAF in the mid 600's!! Just thought I should point this out.

Lennie, from my reading (perhaps too much right wing press?), it appears that we are not far off a re-rate for POG? Shoot past 1400 perhaps? How do the others see this because if you are in gold shares, particularly good small miners, the LEVERAGE will be huge! I am banking on this, LOL! With Elikhulu not far off production - August - and ahead of schedule, we should fly here soon! GLA

Thanks Mulder, I saw and read this yesterday and my thoughts were that old Cyril will have to get SA onto an acceptable (western?) path to attract this much needed investment. Doomed at 1,4% growth, imho! My interpretation is that he will have to get on top of those poorly performing state owned companies, improve the Police performance, support all efforts to make those accountable for fraud, bribery, corruption and like Herman Mashabe bring tthem to court's of law! Massive job but will have to be done. So good news for us invested in a high risk environment.

Now trading on Interactive Investor and the 1st day did not look to good! Thanks for the Proactive Investor article and by repeating the good news the sp might go the right way, LOL!

Lennie, I agree. CMCL has acted as my bank account as commodities have done so badly of late. Interest in Gold mining just does NOT seem to be wanting to take off! Even when POG hits 1360! I admit only fleetingly! CMCL will hit 1000 but one will need to be patient and news flows from Zim on the political front also needs to be positive. It's their best way to attract investment into Zim. Already the poorly performing SOB's are being considered to be privatised. A long shot away from Mugabe's modus operandi! Smaller miners are excited but the bigger players seem to playing a wait and see game (Anglo Plats etc..)

The cheek is it's RED for sell on the HL website! Will bounce back, for sure!
