Is there a logical explanation for this share price movement? I doubt it! But, the USD has hit resistance at 93 and the long-term trend is downwards. A weaker dollar must equate to improved precious metal prices.

When one sees how share prices boom for some other minor precious metal African shares (Lithium in Zim), it beats me why PAF cannot get the valuation it deserves. But you have outlined some of the negative factors here. They are background noise in reality. This will remain a profitable operation. Since the leadership changed in Zim, Caledonia (also a well managed little gold miner) has charged upwards.

Lennie, was it you who said that institutions pencilled in 900 as a possible price for CMCL? I guess that all going well, production reaching 80,000Oz with the new shaft and POG 1400 as predicted by end of 2018, this dream might be possible. Pigs can fly! LOL! The Zim elections are also on the cards and will ZANU-PF get in? Who is the youngster on the block wanting to convert Zim into a "Dubai" and build a Bullet Train between Harare and Bulawayo?!!!! About the only Gold share to rise today! Gold has weakened significantly against a strengthening dollar and rising yields.

Nice to hear whats plans for Evander. Not costing more bucks is what I mean. PAF is hopelessly to small a company to further the required investment there and the POG is too fickle and would need to shoot upwards to make the large investment required for modernisation and new shaft. I always thought PAF's contribution for lung disease would be small.

Read the 1/4 report again and cannot decide what I like the most! More than $13 million in the bank, central shaft development from cash generated on schedule, there is so much to like! This mine is a mean machine, LOL! Far better than PAF where Alan Gray is also invested or Shanta for what it's worth. Guess you cannot compare apples to pears, ha, ha!

Mulder, as I have said before: SA mining houses will look to expand and invest elsewhere if it becomes untenable and unattractive to invest in SA. The powers that be must surely be aware of this fact? So let's hope common sense prevails and the mining charter reflects an "Open for Business" strategy. Otherwise many more jobs will be lost. It's not as if SA has prepared the workforce to engage in sophisticated skilled jobs, rather the reverse!

Those big buys must bode well for us here! Hope the Blue Days continue and HOC's retraces it's steps to 3 months back soon. Much hype was written about a rise in POS but, this did not materialise? Certainly POG has closed above a low of $1300 this week at $1313 or there-abouts. Could this be the next leg up for precious metals?

Been away and thanks for that up-date, Mulder. Such extravagant demands from the union who clearly feel they are in the driving seat. I note something to the effect that the silicosis compensation budget is R5 Bil and that the maximum payment would be R500,000 Wonder when PAF will give us their point of view? And the mining charter? When will that be finalised and released? POG seems to have lifted from $1300 and closed at 1313 or so. Is this the next leg up?
