Figures just released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show employment in the public sector hit 6.14 million in December, up 53,000 in a year. Employment in central government hit a record high and was up 105,000 in a year."...productivity has not kept pace and we are atm failing.....

The rhetoric around the fed implying 2 further rate cuts this year helped the US mkt.........Nailed on rates unchanged today...more interested in what Bailey has to say going forward & will have a look at the MPC vote.......gla.

Have been gradually selling since my return in 14 stocks..Inc some Lloyds..only 1 purchase and that was leg & general..only to park some assura profit...luckily it's been profit taking...2 reasons will definitely be out of the UK for a minimum of 6 months a year...plus I keep thinking would I add at these levels and I wouldn't atm....ps as put up here last year glad I downsized in a big way re My UK Home....the UK has become unrecognisable to me in many areas and the general atmosphere is bleak...gla & atb.

Its all about opinions but atm im more concerned about the economy/growth etc etc in the UK in the medium term we could have more problems than the US regards the stock market going forward.....Net zero/tax in many forms etc etc the list seems endless atm... cant wait to see what reeves has to say on the 26th.....gla

I think you will find buffet/berkshire hathaway still hold plenty of stock....agreed their cash position is much larger than normal...plenty of profit been taken ....so to say buffet/BH are all in cash is uninformed/ridiculous......atm i agree with Bloomer B and dont as yet see a recession in the US... a correction in some tech stocks was inenvitable...US inflation data tomorrow very interesting ...gla
