An interesting day all round tomorrow...results, fomc..watching with interest...gla

I've been reading about this public sector pension timebomb...it looks like promises and guarantees have been made to civil servants,doctors ,nurses teachers etc etc that add up to trillions in liabilities...

Consumer confidence /durable goods/new home sales.....but all eyes on the FOMC wednesday..tight call ...will this be their last +25bps ?....watching with interest......gla

...central banks have a real balancing act on their hands inflation v recession....they have almost admitted they would prefer a mild recession to increasing inflation.......+25bps the max for me 3rd of aug ..would not not be shocked if they paused like the fomc...gla

Morning LS....i feel the FOMC next week will keep rates on hold & Bailey & the mpc on the 3rd of aug will be trying their hardest to do the same ....bofe +25bp very 50/50.....i would be really shocked @ +50bp....gl .

I may sell a few @ 99p...gla

...looking forward to next weeks results........3rd of August BofE rate announcement very interesting too...gla.

Morning TFE... yeah wednesdays UK CPI data i will be watching this with real interest.....Plus fridays UK retail sales....the jurys out with me re the FOMC on 26th july(could easily keep rates on hold) and the BofE 3rd of aug +25bp ?....gl.

Hi livestock...i saw jp morgans results as well earlier....i hope it bodes well for lloyds up coming results on the 26th....gl

Hi livestock...there are many predictions flying about which is the norm...I think DT predicted recently a slow decline to the 20 's over the coming year....atm im in a 41 ish to 55 trading range will add at 41ish and sell a %tage @ 54.....there is a possibilty i will not be that busy trading lloyds for a while...but happy to hold quite a few for a good while and take the dividend .....gl &atb

After cpi,ppi etc etc ..very possible there will be no rate hike in the US 26th july.....however 1 day can be a long time in this market atm...gla.

Last time cable was 1.30....april 2022 ?......Bailey positively influenced the market today .....US cpi helped...long way to go and a rollercoaster ride still in play.........just goes to show a small postive shift in sentiment does wonders.....gla.

So US cpi lower than expected....PPI tomorrow ......good day all round today.......watching tomorrows UK & US Data with interest.......gla.

Re LTI....he probably won't thank me for this....but i find him extremely knowledgeable about many different shares and from what ive seen will help someone with a question re technicals including me......i speak as i find.....gla.

RE exams and educational standards.....i sometimes feel/believe there are some young people going to university who would be better served starting work earlier in life.... gla.
