The market was pricing in a 13% chance of a Fed hike at the September meeting and around 35% for November. Those numbers are down to 7.5% and 27%, respectively, following the data......opinions changing by the day re next rate movements.....US ppi tomorow......gla

Morning all.....yeah im still sitting on a reasonable amount of lloyds div paid 23rd of may with more coming on the 12th of sept....if you re invest today around 6%+ish yield....havent decided what to do yet ...i was looking at 41-54p...ie re invest around 41p or sell a percentage @54p...if it gets there.....certainly personally my least traded share this year in my portfolio.....still happy to be invested here atm.....gla.....US cpi upcoming.

Hi DT..I think average interest rates over the last 30yrs is something like 7.1%..I could be wrong I haven't checked properly...int rate around 5% for the foreseeable doesn't shock me in the least...gl .

...what happens next re rates will be determined by the inflation data over the next 4 months....the mpc cannot simply cook the books ....data looked to be turning the corner lately like cpi y/y down to 7.9% from 8.7% on the 19th july as was rpi slightly better...plenty of data coming up .....sunak seemed determined to bring down inflation as do all the central banks....it really is a tough call atm...gl.
