I recall many years ago someone picking up an RNS in Afren Oil over the weekend, that was eventually released on the Monday.

The RNS was logged on Afren website and somehow someone opened it.

The use of the word shortly now appears to be very ill advised.

If the timescale was expected to be more than 3 month, then i think the use of the word was not appropriate.

The wording of a RNS is scrutinised, so either there has been a delay or the update should drop any day.

This is my first criticism of the BOD, they desperately need to update the market, which i'm sure they are more than aware.

I have no idea as to your background, nor do i care, but your comments as to how an investment bank operates is complete and utter nonsense, and that is a FACT.

If anyone has ever worked within an investment bank such as UBS they would be fully aware of the total nonsense being spoken by some posters here.

Why people pay any attention to such comments is beyond me.

In regards to the current lack of update from the BOD, i would make two observations:

1) I believe 'shortly' is very much approaching and feel we will have an update at the very latest end of next week.
2) EUA have a history of defending the share price, as such i expect they are pushing hard to release share price enhancing news.

Any logical thoughts would suggest NN involved.

Surely in the next two weeks news will land.

And UBS and DLA Piper are all working on a success fee basis, but the goal is to 'shaft' investors.

How does the biggest group of shareholders (BOD and management) benefit from that?

Totally idiotic comment, but then why change a habit of a lifetime.

A new listing would require for more detailed disclosure of the current situation in regards corporate transactions being discussed, as such I very much doubt now is the time for a new listing.

Also the company is on the cusp of significantly changing in size due to purposed transactions, making a new listing more complicated.

Ultimately focus has to be on successful completion of transactions, it’s been two years in the making.

Mainly because i boughta substantial amount at a far lower price than 14p

To me that reads they have one offer on the table, but are evaluating other potential offers.

I personally think 4/5 weeks in respect of 'shortly' is a reasonable assumption.

One day the big news will drop and you are either in, or your out and if out forget about it, that ship has sailed.
