I have just closed my eyes regarding the share price, as I am a user of the software. I will also renew the contract, and since implementing it, there is not one case of a spoofing email gotten through the organisation. I know it works. The way things have been behaving can only be due to targeting or manipulation.
Microsoft is moving from proprietary approach to open source - Linux compatibility, cloud services in different platforms etc.
DT bought by Microsoft doesn't mean stop using others - that is a thing of the past for MS
This article says the opposite
“But tech companies are much more than a quick-flip. The good ones become part of the substrate of how the economy works. If you’re building those, you don’t want to let them go, ever.”

Market valuation for only the network part of the business. That alone should just stop it.
Also regarding R&D - which could be critical, but since the system is built on AI, they will always have a much lower R&D compared to known threats concept, as they need to have more effort on dev than the ones trying to hack.
Finally some response,
Darktrace took the unusual step of responding to an analyst note, suggesting the Peel Hunt had underplayed its potential by focusing only on the business’s network security division.
“Darktrace’s self-learning AI protects organisations against cyber-attacks across the full breadth of digital environments, of which network is one of many.
What is really strange is that Peel Hunt seem to base all their numbers based on that DT primary product is Network Detection and Response, while they have other very important products, email protection (the best one I have ever seen) and SaaS protection (very very smart). I decided to not implement the NDR module but the two others, and e.g. with McLaren they specifically say they use Antigena Email protection.
This just sounds like someone either on purpose is trying to dump the price or due to total lack of knowledge of the business.
I thought this video from Darktrace explains what it does very well.

Hi all - let me try.
First when I was presented with the concept of Darktrace, I ate it straight away. Now, I do not know every product on the market, but this is by far the best one I have been involved with (and not just on security, it is generally built correctly). I am CIO in our company, and love the solution. (email solution and the Saas module (Antigena))
A bit how it works - it is not like an Antivirus software, where they look for patterns in files. It is based on your organization and how it behaves. To implement it literally was done over a Teams meeting, and we were done in less than an hour. What it does then, is sit silently on the cloud (sandboxed) and learns how all the users are working. After 3 months it has enough data and can be activated, so that it holds, scans etc all emails/files. So say if an email arrives that has multiple recipients requiring action, it will flag it, as it is an illogical action. If there is content that is spoofed or has redirects in links, it stops it. It locks suspicious links, more or less removes spam totally, and I have yet to hear of a spoofing email inbound since going live.
Now from my viewpoint - it is also extremely low on maintenance, and after running it a year, I am maybe needed to go to the administration 2-3 times a month, and that is mostly to assess what has happened. All of this is based on how we use our system - where we access it from, times of day, amount of data normally accessed.
In the beginning there were some scenarios that were "suspicious" on Darktrace, but where we flag it as expected - that is rarely needed. With regards to support/help it has been top of class - (engineers analyzing why some data was stopped, and explaining why and how to get "Antigena" to learn).
I feel this is a special one that might become huge - concept, technology, implementation, partners, everything impressive.
I have read some people questioning scalability, and to be honest, I don't know about huge organizations, but I would assume that is based on the cloud platform it is running on.
(our next step is to implement Darktrace for the local network, which will monitor devices, data and especially near future, all the IOT devices that may connect to a network)
Hi - first post on here - been reading the comments though.
I have invested in Darktrace, as I am using their system, and from the moment we started using it, my feeling was that this will be huge. I absolutely love their system - does the AI great, maintenance low, working with Microsoft - I am in this one for the long run.
Just wanted to give some feedback on the system itself from an IT viewpoint.
