Yes STT it was a controlling stake A YEAR AGO, but with plans already afoot at the time to expand R1 by acquisitions of Perk , Radium 1 and Yume later down the line. This meant an on-going dilution process and the need to buy more shares to maintain the desired percentage % holdings. So it was still in their (TOSCAs) interest to have a low SP price throughout the acquisitions whilst they expanded the R1 and added to their share holdings. SIMPLES

They (TOSCA) pretty much now have an unmatched controlling stake in R1 by a single stakeholder and hence one can argue that they have significant unseen influence over the BOD itself !? Me and you are not privy to unspoken nods and winks in the background nor how news coming out of R1 is controlled and moderated. This is a theory and nothing more. It isn�t suggesting they can control every movement of the SP but one that suggests they can influence the direction by controlling the BOD and therefore how and when the R1 news flows out. Very cynical theory I know , but one worth thinking about !

Tosca picking up lovely cheap shares..it isn�t in their interest for the SP to rise too much before they hit their holdings target. I can say I blame them really, even though the process itself is rather painful for the average PI

Bumbag- I agree- I am becoming convinced now that it is only when Tosca get their desired holding percentage that we are going to see the SP rise again. However, by the same token the SP should then rise as fast as it has gone down recently. So goes the theory anyway!

Did anyone see the CNBC interview a couple of days ago on the Ad-tech and the position of the Duopoly of FB and google? I only caught the last few minutes in which the fund manager (analyst interviewed) was forecasting the loosening of the Duopolys grip as more and more Advertisers will be looking for premium high quality and transparent service in order to differentiate themselves from the crowd.

Totally agree Brass- Which ever way anyone looks at it, completing the Yume 2 months early can only be a GOOD thing, Time is money as they say.

STOP playing with words and sentence arrangement in order to imply and saw seeds of doubt, whilst trying to always leave yourself wriggle room at every turn. This pathetic act is yesterdays news, same as your quotes and comments about what R1 supposedly said or did more than 4 Years ago!! It is so obvious that you have nothing other than contempt and ill feelings towards R1.

Some people here speak of evolutionary shifts (both, technical and commercial) as if such shifts are unique to the Ad-tech industry and that the whole industry is about to collapse around everyone�s ears but the 2 dominant players!! What industry anyone knows doesnt have its own continuing changes and on-going standardisation?? The real challenge is whether any organisation has enough flexibility and adaptability at its core to then be able to cope with such ongoing shifts and evolve successfully! So far I don�t see any hard evidence that R1 are NOT trying to adapt�OR are lacking any fundamental existential technology that everyone else has mastered and R1 is being left behind. Time will ultimately have the last say !

Looks like we may be visiting low 20s again in the absence of a TU, which will continue to undermine the SP slowly but surely

For now it looks like 280p SP is as far as we are going to climb back up in the absence of any further news. We had a spurt of SP recovery after the F4 publication which was nice but without a TU soon I fear we will be drifting again having lost the momentum.

Indeed Brass- Commitment to dates and actions in advance (where applicable) brings structure and discipline, which every organisation needs. Lets hope you are right and some NICE news will pop out SOON !!

From pervious discussions on this BB, it seems that R1 have in the last AGM HINTED that there will be no quarterly TUs going forward and we are back to Half Yearly full updates. This as far as I can see hasn�t been confirmed in black and white by R1. Hence there is still doubt! R1 should have cleared this up one way or another to avoid uncertainty. Now, IF we are indeed to have a Quarterly TU very soon and its going to be a -nice one- then faire enough, a nice surprise and happy days! however, IF we are suddenly are to get another -one liner- (according to management expectations) then be prepared for a sharp drop in the SP ! Either way, I think it is a bit sloppy of R1 not to clear this up properly and manage expectations more closely.
