Yes, a big difference to the .COM bubble of late 1990s, where companies were getting stupid valuations based mostly on a Website.Com and Ideas (most way ahead of their time).
Majority had no real services or products ready to sell and hence no real income to go on the balance Sheet.
Now that’s what I call a REAL BUBBLE, where there was no backing and commercial justification for the astronomical valuations.
This time around however, things are certainly different. The Ad-tech sector as an example is trading on REAL needs and demands of the advertising market particularly in verticals such as CTV and Video, where the demand by all accounts will be only GROWING and at a fast rate for the foreseeable future.
The question will be which, companies are better suited to ride this REAL wave of demand and sector growth and make the most of it.
In other words , most Ad-tech companies WILL be making REAL money, its just question of how much !
