Up yesterday so probably down today as the usual suspects keep the sp down.

Interesting, those are big numbers.

Just a quick note to say I thought the Flybe pilots did a good job yesterday. While fog was forecast at many airports matters were further complicated by Manchester Airport closing for an hour to effect essential repairs late afternoon. While those flying modern larger jets can autoland in such conditions those in smaller regional turbo props have to manually land off higher minimums for visibility and cloudbase. Yes diversions and cancellations very wearing for passengers but Flybe operations appeared to remain safe.

FT today "Plans for a new nuclear power station at Wylfa on the Welsh island of Anglesey have taken an important step forward after Britain’s nuclear regulator approved the Japanese reactor technology to be used at the site after a four-year review. Yet, the clearing of one obstacle last week has only sharpened focus on a bigger one ahead: the need to secure billions of pounds of finance to build the plant. The Wylfa site, owned by Horizon, a subsidiary of Hitachi, the Japanese conglomerate, has become a crucial test of UK energy policy because it is the farthest advanced of several proposed nuclear projects vying for government backing."

More churn than I expected for a small company.

UK natural gas prices stayed near their highest level in four years on Wednesday, reflecting supply disruptions in the North Sea, but the reopening of a key European hub for Russian imports helped ease concerns over shortages. The cost of gas for the UK’s energy needs eased 5 pence to 68p a therm, though it remains up 17 per cent since the beginning of the month. The price for delivery in January dipped nearly 5p to 60.85p.

Basically inline with predictions but sp down 3% which seems a bit harsh. Further to the announcement of 888's Half Yearly Report on 5th September 2017, the Board anticipates that adjusted EBITDA for the Period will be in line with market expectations. This has been achieved despite the increased regulatory focus, primarily in the UK, and the strategic decision to exit from five markets in the first half of the year. The Group's business has again been driven by further progress in Casino, strong momentum with 888Sport, increased activity on mobile devices and continued expansion in regulated Continental European markets, most notably Italy and Spain.

This does not pertain directly to OXB but the news all about gene therapy and haemophilia. Positive news for the sector and encouraging for investors.

Re Eastern they are audited by the oil companies who use them including Shell and are considered safe and reliable. If Flybe chooses to sub a couple of routes to Eastern that seems reasonable to me. As to Flybe's future I am cautiously optimistic but actually down by about 12% on my recent investment so keeping an eye on sp movement.

The pattern of share trades is interesting, small investors buying and selling but every few days a large block is apparently sold to justify the market makers price.

My modest stack of shares all acquired in the forty something bracket and I believe there will be another bid for AZ. I would expect a share cash deal of £60 ish if the new drug pipeline goes well

Gas prices across Europe jumped after a double blow to key infrastructure in Austria and the UK combined with a cold snap across the continent, sending traders scrambling to secure supplies. A blast at Austria’s Baumgarten import hub on Tuesday, which left at least one person dead and 21 injured, cut gas flows from Russia and forced Italy to declare a day-long state of emergency for energy supplies. The explosion stoked fears of a supply crunch after a key North Sea pipeline that feeds the UK market was closed on Monday following the discovery of a crack. The damage to crucial infrastructure came as demand for gas surged as a cold snap brought sub-zero temperatures and snow across much of the continent.

So we are up a bit, were this to turn into something more permanent that pushed beyond 40p over the next few days I might buy some more but in a few hours trading from now someone will "sell" a stack and the sp will be back bouncing along a bottom which in no way reflects fair market value.

SP up, then down again....rather coincidental that it remains depressed when the news and sector is more positive.

Somebody sold 400,000 shares at 1600 today, might have had an impact.

OK why? I flew for them between 04 to 07 and they were safe. The owner managers were canny managers albeit exploitative of their staff and the airline has endured by serving the oil industry through charters or on smaller routes ignored by others. While I admired Jim French back then events proved that he bet on an expansion plan with the wrong aircraft and Flybe have suffered.
