Still hold a few shares of 888 in family SIPs but dismayed by how out of favour this company is. No debt, makes profits pays dividend yet sp 165p when it was over 300p not long ago. Watching from sidelines, see this as unfinished business and might buy later this year when 888 returns to favour.

Earnings up and cutting debt, sensible enough. I remain a fan of Cairn holding for now might buy more if other punts come off later in tge year.

A bounce in performance is on the way “very soon” for those who stay loyal but Mr Woodford knows too that investors are impatient and a large part of his investment thesis relies on a post-Brexit recovery in undervalued UK plc.

“There is a dam that is about to be breached of inward investment into these businesses,” he said, referring to overseas interest in young UK early-stage pharma and tech businesses, where Mr Woodford also holds dozens of investments.

Hope is an emotion, investments should be based on rational thought processes but I admit to being guilty of it with OXB, Hoping for better post Brexit.

Bought and stop lossed or taken modest profit several times over many years. Ironically bought back in about 18 months ago because I thought the company was finally on firm ground and when shares consolidated expected OXB to sit around £10 rather than slide 40%!

Agree for two reasons.

When the USA wakes up to that, perhaps they already have they will want oil from Venezuela and Colombia.

Cairn Energy was a faller after the arbitration panel judging its $1.4bn tax dispute with the Indian government said that, due to workload, it was unable to give guidance on the expected timing for a decision. Cairn said it saw little chance of a judgment before late 2019.

A victory for Cairn would potentially be worth 193p per share, according to Citigroup, which added: “While the news is clearly disappointing given it was a material near-term catalyst, the merits and strengths of Cairn’s case remain unchanged

While the usual eco idiots will try and block development through intimidation of the local council this mine will prove to be very important to EU Energy Security. In the end Uranium Prices and EU Energy Security will drive this to production but its not happening next week. Dont believe me? How come they have already been able to sell so much product? Dealers ringing BKY every week wanting to secure contracts for future uranium deliveries.
