RE: Will 16p serve as support or not ?18 May 2020 14:48
Nolupus has anyone recently contacted Lanstead for a statement? Their last posting on their own site is a news item on the sharing agreement from Oct 2017. I tried the email address for Kyle Henry and it did not work. pr@lanstead.com
I fear this is the point where remaining small private investors get diluted and then flushed away by the people who have taken over the company. I hope I am wrong but the trading halt and share issue RNSs are not encouraging.
Not crazy but very frustrating that the P3 bad news in 2018 dropped the share price from 150p to about 35p in a day or so yet several pieces of recent good news see only a grudging uptick in price. In my opinion punters will be kicking themselves in the not too distant future that one could have purchased 5 share for less than a quid in 2020!
OK same question from a month back, who controls Aura Energy and when will they achieve production of uranium ore? I stop lossed and walked away in 2019 £1k poorer for my troubles but.....there is great potential in the acreage they control for uranium, vanadium and gold. I just fear the small speculative investor is going to get burned every time they buy here.
Flundra, oh yes the market moves this week reflected their friends and relatives buying in before the gov release some positive news on permits. Not all at one go, they are not that stupid but bit by bit the permits will appear.
Can you help Bladey? I read the RNS and was a bit confused, a small purchase of 30,000 more shares I get but, was it also stating an interest in future purchases up to 13% of the company?
Oh what a tease, tempted to buy some more should it get to 24p. While the markets are having a very, very bad day I think it daft that someone is marking down the SOLG sp given this weeks news.

The Spanish Government needs some good news on jobs therefore the "environmental" objections likely to be ignored imo. Just a personal hunch supported by a spate of buying on the Madrid exchange this week. Worked in Spain back in 2008 and after 2 years arrived at the view that underneath the veneer of democracy and western thinking everything was actually based on patronage and corruption.
Hope you are right Quady and look forward to an uptick this afternoon or at least by end of week on the basis of very good news for SOLG and Barrick lurking. I am suspicious because I have watched other shares like BKY on the receiving end of dual listing and odd price differences. Very positive about SOLG and hope to see a bid materialise, possibly a cash and shares option which would be interesting.

Meh! My break even on IMM was 15p yet I have just purchased more for the family SIPs including my own on the basis of the news and the momentum. The news is very exciting but the drug may prove to be a relative flop for Covid 19 treatments while the momentum and attention should focus back on Lupus and the original P3 trials.
Some patients were almost cured by the drug while many others did not show any improvement over the placebo group. Refine the trial, run it again with carefully selected patients and the FDA may well grant the drug a licence after which the sp will be several multiples higher than it is today.
If it proves to be of even minor use against Covid 19 then it has got to be worth more than 20p a share.
Added another 10,000 hence aggregate price now 31p so well in the red and a risky punt but my instincts suggest that progress on permits happening behind the scenes.
Then minutes later 30,000 buy/sell unknown.....interesting moves for what had been a down and out miner locked into a long political wrangle with an unstable third world minded government in Madrid.
Geology, Politics and Psychology?12 May 2020 10:40
There is no question over the geology of what lies beneath SOLG acreage in Ecuador, vast wealth. There are some concerns over the politics of any South American country as government come and go on a regular basis. I think the real issue is almost psychological. There are several key players who have the cash to make a clean bid for SOLG but.....under the current market uncertainty how many Finance Directors are up for using their cash reserves or credit lines to make acquisitions? Everyone including Buffett is sat on their cash afraid to buy anything right now so we may all have to be a little patient before SOLG hits 40p never mind 60p.
