RE: Aston Martin is a bid target says brokers8 Nov 2020 15:34
Rob, I would take it Stroll meant ‘from what the share price was today’.
The Mail’s story is another example of lazy journalism, a hostile takeover!
First of all Mercedes has 20% of the shares, Stroll says that will make them the 2nd biggest shareholder behind him personally, then his consortium must account for another 20%, then Zelon holdings & Parmian investments have both just taken at least 5% each in the recent placing,
Oh & Toto Wolff has a few per cent.
Given that Stroll has brought in Tobias Moers from Mercedes, Vettel as a ambassador, Ken Gregor from Jag Landrover, as well as raising ‘enough money forever’ as stated in the Times article, then we’re would they get the shares for a hostile takeover.
We are well financed, and there is not enough shares for anyone to buy to force a takeover, I thought you needed over 29.9% to even think about it.
