I bought 2978 shares in VIR bio over the last few weeks it’s always done well for me, Biotech news come out and it dropped like a stone, average price Is £21.76 which puts me about £3600 down, plus another £400 for the fx.

One of the old saying is ‘it’s better to travel than arrive’, if you look at the stocks you have gone for they’re not really stocks that follow set patterns, they are all in s... street and are heavily shorted, this can lead to them being erratic with the price all over the place.
But you do have a bit of a following here so you must get it right sometimes.

It’s a pity some of the journo’s don’t read this board, or do their job properly.
They’re reporting ‘director sells’, with proper research which would give them some understanding of what’s going on, the director selling was part of the ‘old guard’ who run AML into trouble, so he’s now left his post & sold the shares he held which is fair enough, journalists report like there is a problem within the company.

3300, am interested just for comparison as you know I advocate holding and you advocate trading, and as you put it up it’s interesting to know how you went, I honestly hope you win.

3300, you stated the other day that you sold half your holding and were nibbling back in, how did that end up?

Crank, definitely a good thing, we’ve had sellers of over £150m in the last 3/4 months so it eases that pressure, all we want is a fair market(as longs it’s in our favour,lol)

3300, isn’t that exactly what I’ve been saying and for a long time, treat everything you read on a chat site with extreme caution.
Especially when people brag about how many shares they have and how much they’ve made, it reminds me of the song, ‘you only sing when your winning’.
Rarely do traders come on and be honest about their losses, with the ‘odd’ exception of Rox of course.

C264, it all forms part of the deal, are you suggesting that we give shares worth £150m(aprox) away,? I don’t know the finer details but it’s all priced in to the overall deal.

C264, it must form part of the payment otherwise we wouldn’t have agreed compensation of upto 28m if our sp price falls below 62p in early 2022.

MFGX, what p/e would you apply to AM?

If AM shares were significantly higher over the next 18months then if MB were thinking of a complete takeover then it would possibly be brought forward as they would have significant leverage in the 20% they will own by then, it could make it look like a real cheap deal.

Carpymick, only time will prove the effect of the dilution, the shares are going to MB in two stages, basically 7.5% in December, subject to shareholder approval, and another 7.5% no later than early 2022.
If AM were in the same position as now we would feel the impact of the shares, but if the company is in a much better position than now then we wouldn’t feel the impact, also MB have undertaken not to sell any shares for I think 12/24 months after the last tranche.
It’s important to realise we are not giving them away it’s a payment/payments for receiving their technology etc, so it certainly helps our cash flow.
And let’s be honest it’s the dream partnership, and hopefully they takeover Aston completely.

I try and have often obtained decent information with regard to the sp from the co or the newspapers, what do you bring to the table, in fact don’t answer that, it would be equally as disgusting as your joke.

Hollam, Aj Bell & HL were what I considered trading through a app, basically do it yourself trading, what I meant by ‘traditional broker’, was a investment co who will take your instructions on the phone and call the market maker direct, in the old days they could even arrange settlement dates T3,T10 or even T20.

3300, don’t know which were your getting the ‘misquoted’ you from, as I said, I think it was a brave move.

I see you sold 50% of your ‘alleged’ holding of 200,000 shares today, seems a contradictory move seeing last week no one was getting your ‘golden tickets’, you do normally compliment yourself on your ‘immaculate timing’, any wisdom as to why that you can share?

Difficult one to call, logic says tomorrow we’ll hit a bit of profit taking, but logic & AML don’t really go together, so will the momentum drive the price further up?
Personally I think we’ll see a bit of profit taking as a lot of holders will have been frustrated by the share & won’t want to see it go back into the 50’s, I’m sitting tight.
