I think 60p is the new high now ....how low it will go , who knows ! The share price could possibly bounce between two tram lines positioned @low 40p (or lower) @ high 60p . I'm going to wait and buy back in at 40p . I hope I'm proved entirely wrong !

Well I hope it becomes standard kit in most hospitals...just a question of time I'm sure . It's main use will be in looking at the effectiveness of drugs during treatment and checking on patients who are in remission.

If the share price continues to fall due to lack of news and nothing much happens on the deal front then as the money runs out you are talking takeover time .
As Flatlander said Qiagen is a real contender .
It's like having lots of camera manufacturers but their lenses aren't that great, then a company comes along and makes a unique lens which gives clearer better pictures with much more definition. That's my take on it anyway !

I agree it's going to be a long wait .
In the USA medical insurers will be the main driver for the use of liquid biopsy technology. Medical insurance premiums are so expensive that it's mostly employers who provide medical cover as part of a benefits package . They will want to keep costs down to a minimum as often they manage each employees health on an individual bases as opposed to paying a huge annual premium to the insurer . That's why I feel the USA will be adopting the technology before it starts to happen in the UK .

One of the major attractions for a takeover from a USA player in this field is the NHS . As I mentioned earlier the majority of the population of the UK have their treatment for cancer carried out by our wonderful NHS . There is no point in paying high health insurance premiums if you can be fast-tracked though the waiting lists . The NHS prolonged my father's life for a whole 20 years of battling with cancer which came and went and then came and went ....again and again .
Angle are in pole position to help NHS patients and I hope that will happen sooner rather than later .
My thoughts on the movement of Angle's share price are that they need to have approval for more uses in the USA for different types of cancer and they need to wake up the NHS to the savings they could make on treatments by using their system. Once the NHS can become fully involved that's when everyone will benefit.
In the USA medical insurance companies will welcome Angle with open arms I'm sure !

I think there could be a mutually beneficial merger rather than an aggressive takeover . I can't understand the fall in share price . Coupled with the strength of the dollar it must look even cheaper from over the pond .

This makes Angle a takeover target for one of the downstream market leaders in my opinion. If you want to establish yourself as the number one goto liquid biopsy company then the Parsortix system is what's needed . Perhaps that's why Angle are making themselves leaner , attractive and beach ready by closing their Canadian lab facility . Any company taking over will have their own labs . This entirely undeserved , almost halving of the share price in such a small amount of time since the 80p issue looks suspicious given that only really good news has come from Angle.
Perhaps Angle realise that to scale up to profitability will take so much time and money that the only solution is to merge . (Especially when the biggest customer on your doorstep is a cash- strapped NHS ! )

I still think diagnostic labs need to be set up in hospitals ...that's were all the blood samples are sent from GP surgeries . That's why , in the UK , the NHS has to adopt the Angle system for it to really take off here . Most people with cancer in the UK use the NHS as they are fast tracked through. In the USA it's a different story altogether and the opportunity there is much greater . That's were the growth should start to take off for Angle .

The franchise idea for Angle would be about setting up a lab within a hospital that would analyse the results from it's Parsortix system of capture . That lab would charge for it's services and be a self-contained business. So that business model can be repeated in other hospitals if it's profitable . It's absolutely nothing to do with selling a brand name ! It's all about getting the equipment and testing labs up and running and duplicating the idea . The equipment could be leased , rented or supplied as part of a licenced franchise ...It's not like building a McDonald's restaurant.

Thanks very much for all your comments . I do think labs will be set up within hospitals both NHS and private that will use the Parsortix system along with the analysis of its harvest. How that is all funded and how quickly it will happen is another matter to consider . I suggested the franchise idea simply because it's a business model than can be replicated quickly and can reduce the capital costs for the franchisee whoever that might be .

Sorry to hark on about franchise opportunities all the time but here goes ...
Franchises are all about location and areas so that's why hospitals are the ideal franchisee for Angle's testing equipment and service .
The idea is to get the testing facility set up in all hospitals, local GP practices send blood samples to the hospital .
To do this quickly and cheaply the hospital becomes a franchisee of Angle. The hospital pays Angle a monthly franchisee fee . This would cover the support for the equipment and part of the fee would go to cover the cost of supplying the testing equipment. In effect the fee the hospital pays is partly a rental for the equipment which is fully owned by Angle .
The hospital then charges for all the tests it carries out and makes revenue that way . Angle also takes a percentage cut from that revenue under a licensing agreement . This would reduce the setting up costs for the hospital with no capital outlay and give Angle access to a customer base from GP surgeries within the hospital's catchment area . That's the reason why a franchise agreement is so much more beneficial for Angle than selling the equipment outright ...a long-term access to a customer catchment area .

With the franchise idea I was thinking that Angle would supply the testing equipment and support so the hospital wouldn't have the high cost of purchasing it . Any tests carried out by the hospital could be under licence to Angle with Angle taking a percentage of the revenue from each test as well as supplying the cartridges. All done under the umbrella of a franchise or license agreement. Hospitals would then become regional test centres . There wouldn't be a great start-up cost with just a small lab in the hospital .

As I mentioned in a previous post I feel that one way to quickly get this to market is by opening up franchise opportunities. Hospitals themselves could become a franchisee of Angle with the latter supplying the equipment and support . Angle could take a franchise fee and a percentage from the tests the hospital carry out . The hospitals have the staff and the premises already in place and will gain from revenue (especially from the private sector) also it will free up hospital beds , surgeon's time and theatre space .

Once Angle can demonstrate their systems works for multiple types of cancers then that will really move the market I guess . It's still early days after FDA approval...prostate cancer is the next one to nail .

In the long term I feel there could be real opportunities for Angle to franchise out their equipment and expertise in the form of regional test centres. There is so much potential here for rapid growth once the technology can be proved to work for many different types of cancer .

I think the dive in share price is a concern that Angle will need to return to the market for more funds at some point in the future . Hopefully the commercial roll out will be well on its way by then . It's a quick easy system of detecting cancers and will save lives as a result...onwards and upwards !
