The point is how many years has this "mgt" team had to produce value for share holders? Communications, portfolio risk management and project delivery have been dire.
I was expecting mgt changes about 3 years ago based on underpfmce to date then?

To be clear though, I have worked on Morrocan assets in the past (covering for someone else) so know a little about this.
Not saying that EOG haven't stolen a march on the market again but simply looking at all the talk about Ireland and the delivery there and the additional value added there I'm coming to the conclusion these assets will be worthless bwtfdik and as ever most importantly all IMHO!!

These threads were all about the excellent "stooge" research which of course sounded brilliant in its individuality but when compared with other pertinent information provided a different picture. All imho of course and best of luck all.

Let's get something clear here or perhaps I've misunderstood? A director of a small company can be the same or better "calibre" compared to the director of a "premier" company!!
Just because you've been successful in a larger company (and that is very debatable for any of our "mgt team") certainly does not mean that will translate into similar "success" for a small company.
I don't know the whole picture obviously but I'd say we have a mediocre (premier) mgt team here who it appears have been very naive either in their "relationship" with the super major or their communication of expectations, whether formally or informally.
At the end of the day if you are only dealing with one potential acquirer make sure you fully understand their respective "desire" for your assets when negotiating and communicating this.
I have no real criticism of this team except I think they over valued the assets they were selling and "may" have spent some hard earned cash progressing assets beyond their true value because of a "trust" with what had been implied to them, without actually getting financial recompense guarantees. I agree it is a good idea to continue the site survey work programmes (s) as long as there is a real market for returns on this investment which I "think" they may have got wrong?! If that is the case serious questions need to be asked and answered with serious repercussions.

CCF agree with all of what u say except think it would be madness to find extra cash for current mgt team, for producing asset or further NSea opps, who seem to have proven over last 5-8 years they are not suited at all, to running company like EOG.
I am personally amazed at how naive they appear to have been with "selling" the Irish assets and talk of imminence or quick progress with Morocco where (observational) experience with onhym dictates you have to be very very careful making sure everythingcarefulky communicated, crossed and dotted but wtfdik?

Either way I don't care but what I do care about is people buying based on incorrect inferences on stuff posted on free bbs. Of course caveat emptor but when other people questioned about timings and whether other assumptions were realistic they just get shouted down which reduces intelligent debate.

It's f'ing simple. I said it ages ago. The assets aren't what everyone has been led to believe. You have to hope that in the aim CEO sales patter there is something worth having. It "seems" there isn't. However listen and think hard when you hear the same "crap" about Morocco.
